Bill O'Reilly Fires Back at 'The View' Ladies [Video] {PopEater}
Oct 16th 2010 2:56AM I think we are going away from the main issue...the mosque! First of all the mosque is not ON ground zero but rather BLOCKS away from ground zero. There were 11 Muslim families who suffered loss on 09/11, but we forget that. The should be allowed to build their mosque whereever they see fit. It's NOT on ground zero, but rather BLOCKS away! People keep hearing ground zero and keep thinking it's right ontop of where the buildings use to sit! That is incorrect!
Obama Plan to Make Cheaper Coins Criticized by Businesses {Politics Daily}
May 17th 2010 3:58AM I understand where the business owners are coming from, but the simple fact is that if the change doesn't happen we will be spending money that doesn't need to be spent on making coins that are worth less then they are to make! Doesn't make sense to keep making the coins this way. Also honestly not that many people use actual CASH or COINS anymore. There are vending machines and even washing machines that take debit/credit cards. I do think that instead of STOPPING this change those business that operate coin operated machines should instead ask for a tax break OR a one time GRANT from the federal government to overhaul their coin machines to accept the new coins.
Fourteen States Seek to Block Health Care Reform Law in Court {Politics Daily}
Mar 24th 2010 1:18PM I dont see why so many people are against UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE. I don't think people understand how much the NON-INSURED are costing us per year. We are spending more and more every year on uninsured people visiting the ER's and doctors. People are coming to the ER's for nonsense things such as headaches and fevers, instead of simply calling a primary. Just to walk in the door of an ER can cost up to $500. Granted taxes will eventually go up and there will be cut backs, but people you need to look at the big picture...More jobs will be created, think of it this way there are 32 millions uninsured people out there and now there are 32 million people insured. So therefore in order to be able to safely treat these additional patients we will need more doctors, nurses, administrative people, cleaning people, cooks, etc. to work in our clinics and hospitals.
Now don't get me wrong like I said there are negatives to this reform, but there are so many more positives coming from it, but like everything in life good things come to those who wait. So stop the crying and moaning and groaning. This is a great thing and there will be kinks in it.
As far as this being against our constitutional rights...I beg to differ...isn't it against my rights to not give me the choice of whether I want my taxes to contribute to the uninsured? I shouldn't be paying for social security when by the time I retire in 2046 it will be bankrupt and non-exsist.
Is Angelina Jolie Turning Shiloh Into a Boy? Parenting Experts Weigh In {ParentDish}
Mar 5th 2010 2:00AM Here is my question to everyone who has a problem with the way Brad and Angelina are raising their kids....IS IT HURTING YOU OR YOUR FAMILY IN ANY WAY? NO I don't think it is, so why do you people care?
I don't know them, but if I ever got the pleasure to meet them I don't care what they or their children look like as long as they are good hearted and polite.
The way a small child dresses is a reflection of both the parents and the child. We all know that at the age of 2 kids start having their own taste and Shiloh definitely has her own. So let her explore! If the child is comfortable wearing boys clothes or girls clothes then who are we to say it's wrong or right?
Who knows and I am not saying that she is, but maybe this child will not be your typical heterosexual female. I mean seriously people give me a break!
Britain's Brainiest Family is Black and Has 9-Year-Old High School-Bound Twins {BV Black Spin}
Mar 5th 2010 1:46AM The only thing that worries me is all of these childrens future. If we look at all these "prodigy" and "genius" children we will see a pattern of depression later in life usually starting in their 20's. They also put way to much pressure on themselves. I think that it's absolutely AMAZING that these children are smart and overachievers, but are they allowed to be children is my question? It says they like to play on the computer, but what about going outside and playing, playing sports, or even with toys and dolls. These are 9 year olds not even teenagers!
Again I think it's amazing they have the smarts, but how well are they emotionally ready to deal with adult situations?
Young Adults Doing Religion on Their Own? Blame It on Politics {Politics Daily}
Feb 26th 2010 7:07AM Meg, there is a church near my home that is absolutely HUGE. It is a fortress. It even has it's own mini police station. To me that is uncalled for and honestly just a bit cultish. Why does a church need it's own police station? Anyhow, in regards to you comment...I have heard of both Mark and Mars and even though I have never been or seen their sermons I have to question and ask what about thier words are making these younger people flock to them. What are they saying or promising that all other churches and religions aren't. I don't know about most people but a HUGE church is nothing something I would want. I want to be able to talk and see my priest without jumbotrons.
Canada Shaming Itself at Stormy Olympics {Fanhouse Olympics Blog}
Feb 17th 2010 4:24AM Listen the Olympics are NOT what they used to be. Especially with all this BS going on in Canada. It's very sad that people don't care about these athletes and their God given talents. Whether you consider Ice Skating, The Luge, Skiing, etc a sport the fact of the matter is these athletes give their entire lives to these sports and they deserve our attention and support. I think it is absolutely wonderful and amazing that all these countries can come together and compete and still say good job and pat eachother on the back, when their home countries maybe at war with eachother. Sports and music truly bring people of all races and nations together and regardless of who is hosting them we have to look past the ridiculous spectacle of the opening and closing ceremonies. The death of Nodar is sad and we can only hope he went in peace doing what he loved. However the stance that Canada took was irresponsible and they should be held accountable considering other athletes were complaining of the corners and speed of the course.
I can't wait for the Summer Olympics in Brazil. It will be BEAUTIFUL and amazing! But then again I am a bit biased!
Mother Teresa: Should a Saint Get Postal Service's Stamp of Approval? {Politics Daily}
Feb 1st 2010 2:45AM I agree Mother Teresa should be allowed to be on the stamp, HOWEVER it should be made very clear that it is for her philanthropic work and not her religious views.
Super Bowl Commercial Brings Different Focus to Tebow {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}
Jan 21st 2010 12:10AM wbjb41472, you are VERY WRONG! I have lived in Florida and even went to UF and the LEGAL AGE of drinking in FLORIDA is 21! He was in fact not only underage but also breaking the law! He was and still is seen as a "GOD" in Gainesville so whereever he went he was given whatever he wanted.
Now he is a very nice guy, but a bit of a hypocrite. He in fact is NOT a virgin and he has gambled and he has done other things that are against his religion/belief system. So I am wondering why all the religion talk if you can't walk the walk and talk the talk!
Yes him boohooing over 'Bama kicking Gator ass was a bit DRAMATIC but hey it's all the kids got! All he has is football and honestly if we look at UF's previous quarterback Rex Grossman he was GATOR GOD and now he is a nobody! The Bears don't even want him! So do I think Tim will make it to the NFL definitely...do I think he will make it BIG not counting on it, but hopefully he will make me eat my words!
Christians To Blame For Secular Christmas {ParentDish}
Dec 11th 2009 1:02AM I myself am Greek Orthodox, Christian, and I must say that Christmas is not what it is supposed to be. We are supposed to be celebrating the Lord and life, but instead we are celebrating gifts, bargains, and food.
I am not overly religious and I don't get to go to church that often because of work, but I also think that the current President, whom I did vote for, had every right to do a non-religious Christmas. The REASON being that this country has more then 1 religion or belief system and even though the country is majority Christian we have to realize that we have Jewish, Muslim, Wiccan, non-believing, and other wonderful belief systems and people in this country and world! I have to commend our President and his family for finally realizing that this country is different and so are the people in it. But I think not putting up the nativity scene is a bad idea. Instead of not including it why not put ALL the different religious icons and beliefs up on the White House in different areas to show that we embrace all religions and all people?! We are a country that is a melting pot of different cultures, beliefs, religions, colors, and races, so why not showcase them at our nations capital!!!
