I would imagine a President (ANY president) after hearing that their country has been attacked, would have a million things going through their head and be trying to process them as calmly as possible before they spoke publicly about them, and yes, that could possibly take ten minutes (actually I saw the school principal sitting next to him in that clip interviewed, and she said it was actually about five or six minutes) to process.
And had it been a Democratic president? I wouldn't have been surprised if the mainstream media had all but given that President a medal for being soooo concerned and caring about children by not leaving in a rush and possibly scaring them.
I don't know what Bush's exact reason for this short delay was of course, but him not taking what just happened seriously? Give me a *&**ing break.

I WAS glad to hear that the contestants who are still in high school are tutored, though. (I'm guessing the ones in college must take the semester off)

May 19th 2010 12:52PM No mother should be forced to give up her child, but IMHO the ones that do (who have not been forced) should not have to deal with a lot of crap about it, because it is a painful decision, but she is doing it so the child will have what she feels she cannot give her or him, not just financially, but emotionally. Well-off people can BECOME poor after all, and their adoptive children aren't taken away from them just because of that!
