The Wal-Mart Weekly: Growth still being fueled by 'low prices' {BloggingStocks}

"Always low prices" is a crock. Maybe on the no-brand stuff they push, but if you check the brand-name stuff or the things you buy all the time, their prices aren't that much better than anyone else's. Besides, where I live, I would have to pass stores I like better to get to a Wal-Mart, so I don't shop at Wal-Mart.
Shatner Speaks Truth -- Recasting Captain Kirk {Cinematical}

I think Paramount should shelve the whole project. It's a dumb idea. They're just looking to wring more money out of the Star Trek franchise.
If you check the timeline, Spock was already on the Enterprise when Kirk took over. They were not at the Academy together.
If you check TOS episode "Shore Leave" Kirk admits he was no fun during his Academy days. So unless you want to turn this into a coming-of-age movie set in the Star Trek universe, you've got no story.
paramount should leave Star Trek alone until someone actually comes up with a GOOD idea.
