Hillary Takes on HHS to Defend Women's Reproductive Rights {Lemondrop}

Dec 8th 2008 10:58PM How dare you? Women go into a clinic and are never unphased. Most require counseling. It is never an easy decision. Don't you dare attack these people who are often left with no other choice. If you find abortion morally reprehensible then don't get one, but don't attack others for taking their only choice.

Palin's Church: 'Pray the Gay Away' {Politics Daily}

Sep 11th 2008 12:26AM I understand why Palin would want to help the GLBT community "convert" to heterosexuality. Christians are entitled to their opinions as are homosexuals. The issue at hand is really this; where do we draw the line? Most Christians, I would like to think, are not hateful people who want to oppress gays and emulate a Nazi-like regime. Equally, most of the GLBT community is not immoral, promiscuous, sacrilegious and degenerate. The Christians believe they can help homosexuals find the light of God and save their souls. They are only acting out of what they believe to be others' best interest. Gays are upset by this because it instills fear. Harassment and violence towards homosexuals is still alive and well. When the GLBT community sees something like this, they fear their rights will be taken away slowly and surely if this kind of intolerance continues. Increased tension between these two opposing groups has caused them to hate one another. This friction is caused by misunderstanding and must be resolved some day. Christians should learn that the light of God will only come to those who truly want it and the GLBT community needs to learn that Christians have every right to express their beliefs in a non-violent way. In regard to Sarah Palin, if she truly hated homosexuals, she would not want to help them.
