Charity Case: Do I Have to Dump My "Friend with Benefits?" {Lemondrop}

Dec 31st 2008 7:23AM If your renewed intent was strictly a FWB relationship, don't worry about it. She's moved on, so can you. On the other hand, if your intent was maybe something more, you may feel the need for closure for yourself. Go with your instinct.

Friends-with-Benefits Conundrum {Lemondrop}

Dec 30th 2008 7:03PM Sorry, Ladies, but a guy can be strung along with comfy sex as well. It happened to me. I had a long-term friend with benefits. And yes, it definitely impedes one from moving on and meeting someone new. I suppose, in my case, at some point I came to realize that the comfy sex was better than no relationship with that friend at all. In spite of shared vacation trips, several broken engagements,etc. we never lived together. And when she did come over to my place, she always had to be back home in the morning to feed the dog. In hind sight, I was just a convenient booty call, right up until she packed up and moved to Florida. Perhaps she'll meet her sugar daddy down there.

What We Did and What We Need to Do {Politics Daily}

Nov 5th 2008 6:08AM Can you imagine the race riots that would have erupted if Obama had lost by just a few electorial votes? Watts and Detroit would have looked like a garden party !! Given all the troubles we face in this country, real change will come if he can reel in Congress and the run-away spending. But, don't count on it !! Liberals love to spend other people's money. I suspect this presidency will be about as productive as the change Congress achieved after the Democrats took control two years ago.

McCain Has a Choice {Politics Daily}

Oct 12th 2008 6:57PM John is full of shit !! Just where does one go to become a "registered" independent ?? Personally I think, in the interest of homeland and national security, the USA should reimpose the draft. My guess is that is how John's sorry ass got to Vietnam, if he were really there in the first place. But, hey, he can say whatever he wants, it's a free country. Just as I'm free to say he's full of shit !!

Lewis Calls Out McCain, McCain Indignant {Politics Daily}

Oct 12th 2008 6:31PM If it were not for the biased press, Hitler would not have gotten into power either. When the German press had a chance to expose Hitler for what he was, they turned a blind eye. Same is true of today. Name one mainstream media source that has questioned anything Obama has done to deserve our highest office. The truth is, people are being subjected to a deliberate effort to put a socialist government in place. Yes, people want change, but they confuse the message with the messenger. Real change will only come about with the ouster of all incumbents in the Congress, and exposing the socialist press for what it is.

Is Obama Gaming the Fundraising System? {Politics Daily}

Oct 5th 2008 10:22PM Right on, Dave !! It doesn't take a genius to realize that the Internet is a great way for large money special interest groups and individuals to funnel huge amounts of money into campaign coffers under the guise of small independent contributions. To be fair, it could be happening in the GOP as well, but the Obama camp has had a two year head start to perfect the technique.

With that in mind, in my humble opinion, American voters should stand back and take a real good look at what just happened as a result of the big financial crisis we find ourselves in. With all that's at stake (with our economy, our homes, our retirement portfolios, our childrens education, et cetera), Congress still felt the need to add an additional $170 BILLION dollars of unbudgeted debt to the "bailout" package in the form of wasteful, special interest pork barrel items. $170 BILLION !!! That boggles the mind, doesn't it?

Then, when asked if this extraordinary legislation would mean that Congress might actually have to curtail other programs to help pay for this bill, Ms. Nancy Pelosi stated that she did not see any need to do so. In other words, Congress will continue to do things "their way" as usual !!

Now I ask you: where is the CHANGE in that??

And just as importantly, how much more of your income can you afford to contribute to help Ms. Pelosi and all the other incumbents continue to do what they will to you?

Does anyone really believe that change will come about WITHOUT voting out of office all of these "blood sucking" incumbents that have taken up permanent residency in the halls of Congress?? Don't kid yourself !! It ain't gonna happen !!

A skilled surgeon, when faced with rampant cancer in a dying patient will always excise some healthy tissue along with the tumors, knowing that it is the only way the patient might survive. Our government is a very sick patient. And as voters, we must do all that we can to save our patient, and that means to Vote "NO" on ALL INCUMBENTS.

Please..........do what your conscience tells you is the right thing to do in November.

As your are well aware, for the last two years we have been bombbarded with the word CHANGE. The right IS good. We have seen some change, as tens of thousands of new voters have been registered to vote. That is the largest increase in voter registration that I have ever heard of, and that IS good for the country.

We want change, we need change, we will get change. That's the message we hear. Of course, the Congress is thinking, "You don't mean ME, do you? Just in the White House".

As I see it, many new voters equate the message with the messenger, and that is not the way it really ought to be viewed. When it comes to track records, we have to chose between a 30 year veteran Senator who has been trying to make change throughtout his career versus a 4 year Senator who has voted exactly as his leadership has told him to vote, period!

So, the other question every American voter should ask themself is this: who will REALLY be the best man in the White House to make real CHANGE come about?

I think MY choices for November are obvious: I'm voting for the real change fighter, and then I am voting to kick the rest out.

The real problem lies not with who will be in the White House next year but the many incumbents in Congress who have been screwing everything up ever since the Eisenhower Administration. For those not old enough to remember, Congress has been deregulating everything for years, just so corrupt lobbyists and their clients can rape the people. What Congress has not been able to deregulate, they underfund to the point that well intended programs fail as a result. I urge you to vote all incumbents out of office, Democrats AND Republicans alike. My dear ol' pappy used to say "if you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem" Frankly, that fits the Washington establishment inside the Beltway to a tee. As far as McCain and Obama go, I have to trust McCain more than Obama, because he's bucked the system as best he can, but 1 vote of 535, he's done what he can. With the Presidential veto power, he will have the sick to get Congress in line. Frankly, I hope to see him use it !! Mr. Obama needs to hold down a job long enough to learn something useful.

Where did you pick up the fact that Gov. Palin wants to separate Alaska from the Union? Don't believe half of anything in the news or on the internet. Check out snopes.com for the validity of he rumors that are about.

From what I have been told the 50's were pretty good times to be a kid growing up. So, why knock people who have a different set of values from your own.

You sound bitter about a lot of things, a die-in-the-wool Democrat, no doubt.

Personally, I have no use for any of the incumbents in Washington. My solution is to vote them all out of office, and start over with new blood. Of course, that means replacing Democrats with Republicans, and replacing Republicans with Democrats. Then, they would have 1 term to get the job done right, or I'd replace them as well.

When it comes to the White House, give me a Vet any time. I want someone who's been there in charge of sending my Daughter and Son into Harm's Way. Not the likes of Bush and Chaney, or Obama and Biden.
