Mom Defends Decision to Give 8-Year-Old Daughter, Britney Campbell, Botox (Video) {Stylelist}
May 12th 2011 12:49PM A few things. First, this "mother" (and I use the term loosley) should lose custody of this child. Second, as a medical professional, she has violated who knows how many laws and should have her licenses revoked. As to her "source" for the Botox, which she wishes to keep secret (gee...I wonder why!!!), this source needs to be located and also have his or her license revoked on similar grounds. There is NEVER an excuse for child abuse, which this clearly is, and as much as I can't STAND Nancy Grace, this is an issue and incident she should take on. By the way, I guess because the mother is overweight, she hasn't addressed the issue of the child's weight, thankfully, or she'd have her on some whacked out diet too! This woman is disgusting.
Michelle Obama Recycles Festive Michael Kors Red Dress for Medal of Honor Ceremony {Stylelist}
Nov 17th 2010 9:58PM OK. I can't keep quiet anymore. Yes, at times, Mrs. Obama looks lovely, but frankly, all too often, she is the queen of the fashion "don't!" Looking at her pictures, both good and bad examples, you can tell that she is a very high waisted woman. She is also very tall. Every time she wears one of those horrible extra wide belts right under her bust, she draws attention to both of her figure flaws (and I only WISH I had only TWO of those!). As with many black women, she carries much of her weight behind her. Unfortunately, those belts draw attention to that, as well as make her look like she has no upper body. Mind you, I would kill to have those lovely long legs, but too many of her outfits make her look totally out of proportion. Mind you, perhaps she is, but she's paying enough money for these clothes that SOMEONE should tell her that drawing attention to her high waist and abundant posterier is not so attractive. I'm not crazy about those sweaters she wears either, especially the little bolero looking ones, for the same reason...calling attention to her flaws instead of calling attention to her many assets. As for her jewelry, I'd like to see her in a nice vintage Eisenberg brooch and bracelet.
Who Won 'Project Runway' Season 8? (VIDEO) {AOL TV}
Oct 29th 2010 12:33PM I spent the entire season waiting for Gretchen to be sent home. Of COURSE she won! Should have been Michael C, but after he was booted I wanted to see Mondo get it. Oh well. Guess it pays to be bitchy!
Deer Wanders With Christmas Lights Stuck in Antlers {Holidash News}
Dec 14th 2009 11:19PM If this is the same guy my we saw after we went Christmas tree shopping the other day, I'm far more worried about him surviving on those busy streets, because he was very close to the interstate! Wildlife seems to have a habit of occupying the same areas we inhabit around here, so I'm sure the wildlife officials know what they're doing.
Glenn Beck Boycott: Censorship or Good Citizenship? {Politics Daily}
Aug 19th 2009 3:08PM Sorry to hear Wal Mart has joined the fray. It's the one place I can't afford to boycott in this economy (along with Sam's, also a Wal Mart Corporation). As for the rest, I can do without them. NOTE: It's "ok" to be a black racist in this country, but not ok to be a white one. Double standard anyone? Oh right. That's number one on the liberal agenda's list of tenets. By the way, I now indentify myself as a "Republitarian" rather than a Republican, as they're not much better than the Democrats, and if Congress doesn't start standing up for the PEOPLE of this country instead of worrying about their precious titles, there's going to be a huge backlash come the next election, because "we the people" have had enough. Glenn Beck, is hated because he has an abundant supply of COMMON SENSE (thus the title of his book), along with a wonderful sense of humor. There's the problem! Liberals (collectively speaking) don't HAVE a sense of humor!
The Worst America's Next Top Model Makeovers Ever {Lemondrop}

Wal-Mart fluttering in the wind {BloggingStocks}
Oct 30th 2006 11:44PM I've been a loyal Wal Mart shopper since the first time I ever walked into one. I have to say, though, that lately, I'm beginning to rethink that decision! We have two huge new supercenters here and with the exception of the grocery department, I absolutely HATE them! The Wal Mart execs better figure out something quick, before they go belly up--namely that Wal Mart customers are NOT Target customers! They are two entirely different demographics for the most part, and the new "competing" with Target road they're on is going to turn around and bite them in the behind one day soon. I don't shop at Target because I don't LIKE Target! They're more expensive, and they don't have the variety of merchandise that Wal Mart has--or used to anyway, which is why I hate the new Wal Marts! I hate the new layouts (which are you more apt to buy at the same time--groceries and clothes or groceries, housewares, and pet foods?) and their selection of merchandise is pathetic. Wal Mart isn't trying to compete with Target, they're trying to BE Target! If I wanted Target, I'd shop at Target! And eliminating lay away is going to prove to be a huge mistake too. Sure, not as many people use it anymore, but those that do, use it because they need it. Sam Walton started Wal Mart to fill a need which the "new" Wal Mart is no longer doing. KMart made the same mistake after Mrs. Kresge died--they eliminated the fabric and craft departments and put in beer and wine. They've gone downhill ever since. Sam Walton is turning over in his grave!
Bottled water report {Slashfood}
Jun 29th 2006 1:17AM As someone who has lived in several different areas of Florida, I can tell you there is a vast amount of difference in the water in different places! The first Florida water I ever had to drink (and shower in by the way, which still makes me shudder)was sulphur water. You talk about NASTY!!! You could drink it if it was ice cold (and you drank really fast), but smelling HOT sulphur water still makes me gag. Then in north central Florida, we had a deep well in an area of limerock, and it was the best water I've ever had. Now we live in a major metropolitan area and our water often tastes and smells like chlorine. I read recently that we should stay away from SPLENDA sweetner because is has been chlorinated in the manufacturing process. This makes it worse than city water how exactly??? My personal opinion is that if you can "taste" the water, there is a problem.
