It's Graduation Season! Herewith, the Awards for Worst Cakes {Lemondrop}

May 20th 2010 2:15AM Can I just throw my two cents in and say that what I GOT from the home school cake is that its a "graduation" cake for a child who is not graduating from High School or College. So, by saying "think they'll let him move out?", what I got was that they were poking fun that a "normal" HS graduation cake is for a 17 or 18 year old, who will then move out of their parents home (maybe.. unless they are like me...) and move on with life. The humor, to me, is that this graduation cake is for a child who is CLEARLY not old enough to move out on his own! I think it has NOTHING TO DO with the fact that he is home schooled!



But thats just me...

Mar 17th 2010 11:00AM Beware though, of the guy who makes it SEEM all good, and SOUNDS like he is telling you straightforward what happened, but when you get home, you realize you have NO answers. That recently happened to me. The reasons he pointed out for the breakup were shallow- no time, busy schedule, etc. But these have been shown to be wrong- there is something deeper, which he just decided I didn't need to know. It is COMPLETELY the worst thing for an ended relationship, to not know WHY. I agree with the author- hearing any of the horrible reasons is better than hearing NONE.

However, I would like to zero in on the "be single, be alone" bit. I had a large amount of time between actual boyfriends: 6 years. A bit much, eh? But, I got so used to being alone, that now that I am in a new relationship, its like starting over as a young'in. I'm like, set in my routine, and he is "messing it up"!! So, yes, its good to be empowered (and lets face it, I was very focused on my school work all through college not worrying over some guy, etc), but... what happens when you start becoming the Crazy Cat Lady because youve been alone so long?

Nov 4th 2009 6:15PM Gerry B spoke with his Scottish accent (but not much in the whole movie!) in Dracula 2000, but no one seems to rmemeber him "before he was popular". oh well, all the more for me :) Anywhom, I really love accents that are borne of English (ie Scottish, Irish, Australian) except Cockney. That is one accent, when heard, can make me run screaming. Although it sure is fun to imitate!! German is NOT a sexy accent. And I dislike French and Italian because they invoke images of greazy sleazy guys trying to get in your pants. I dont mind Canadian accents, but not because theyre sexy, but moer because they are amusing :)
