Tom Brady: Patriots Fans Could Learn From Jets Fans {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Sep 16th 2010 5:50PM I agree. I loved Tom Brady about 5 years ago before he got more interested in super models than super bowls. Since his infatuation with his now wife, his game has gone downhill and he seems so much more superficial than the respective man I enjoyed watching on 60 minutes. I do think he looks good with the long hair, but I resent it because he has changed so much (for the worse.) Brady just needed something to complain about to get in the news, since his performance is lacking. So All I can say is Go Colts! Peyton Manning is one hell of a guy.

How a Criminal Profiler Works - Interview with Pat Brown {AOL Jobs}

May 26th 2010 8:42AM It think it is a typo. I think they meant to say..."and not fall for their manipulations."

How a Criminal Profiler Works - Interview with Pat Brown {AOL Jobs}

May 26th 2010 8:40AM No, because I think that is what the book is for. I did not feel the interview went in that direction. Anyway, she clearly has knowledge of the profession. Logic and objectivity are characteristics that all law enforcement or profiling professionals should have. However, some lawyers, cops, etc. do not.

How a Criminal Profiler Works - Interview with Pat Brown {AOL Jobs}

May 26th 2010 8:34AM I have wanted to be a criminal profiler since I was 18 years old. To date myself, that has been since 1996...before 'Profiler', 'CSI', 'Criminal Minds'. I agree with Pat Brown, CSI makes me roll my eyes too. Profiler was just corny with all the psychic mumbo-jumbo. I do enjoy Criminal Minds, it does try to lay out a profile. Mixed in there is human emotion and drama. However, I always fear that how the show presents itself will misrepresent the justice system and cause likely jurors to find people guilty because they think that all crimes that are brought before them have been so heavily analyzed by professionals. Trust me, they are not.
In my attempt to pursue my goals, I worked as an intern for a mid-size police department for three years. Ms. Brown is right, its a man's world and back then you had to be involved in law enforcement for a long time. I gave up on my goal because I have several health problems and would never pass the pension board to become a cop. I chose a more condusive career path in Elementary Education. It suited my health limitations, but profiling has always been at the back of my mind. I recently started classes for a psych degree to achieve my original goals in life. Its my first love, the career that has always drawn me and I really appreciate the advice Pat Brown has given. Her opinions fit into my knowledge and preconceived notions about profiling. And I will definitely buy her book! She sounds like my kind of lady.

'Miss America' Returns to ABC for 2011 Pageant, Disses Miss USA {Stylelist}

May 25th 2010 12:24PM I really didn't mean to respond to this one with the Amen! comment. It was meant for the comment before this one. This person has a good point, however, I must say the verbage and grammar are very awkward. When insulting the intellect of others, it would be wise to sound intelligent yourself. The use of large and uncommon words are only recommended when you use those words in the proper context,
As a woman who has worked her way through college for the last five years to yield an Associate of.Arts and.Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Pyschology at the ripe old age of 32 - I do not blame these women for using their...umm...assets to get ahead. You gotta use what God gave you in life to make your mark in this world. I do not watch these shows, however, I cannot condemn contestants for their efforts. Its better than living in a ratty old trailer, addicted to meth with your teeth rotting out of your head. At least they are trying, ya know! Anyway, I think we all have forgotten Miss USA does have a degree in marketing and she was able to "sell" her image to Donald Trump, plus everyone is talking about her. Even me!!! Blahhh....lol Enough already.

Talking 'Bounty Hunter' with Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler {PopEater}

Mar 18th 2010 7:32PM Jennifer Aniston is a good actress, she reminds me of Sandra Bullock back in the day of successes and failures. Look where Sandra's career is now...Cheating husbands and nasty rumors aside they are both awesome women. As far as I'm concerned if you have money...spend it! You only live once. I'd buy a riducously large home and fill is with high-end merchandise. Who wouldn't? Anyway, Jennifer has more range than they stony face Angelina Jolie who plays all roles in the exact same way. Bor-ring! And Jennifer doesn't have nasty tats or look like she has hepititus C LOL

Casting the Sweet Valley High Movie {Lemondrop}

Oct 2nd 2009 11:36AM I grew up with these books and read them as a pre/post-teen. Since I was home-schooled from 8th grade to Senior, these books served as sort of my high-school years and dealt with a lot of controversal topics. I would like to see them come into print again - as they would provide real-world issues rather that reality shows (that aren't really reality) or fantasy shows (whether gruesome or tame). I just hope the movie is good so the books can gain interest again.

Women Behind the Songs: 'Candy Says' {Spinner}

Aug 22nd 2007 5:30AM Did anyone actually read the article? He/she/it - whatever - was a man. She couldn't be anyone's wife/mother/sister/etc. I'm sorry Candy died, but all too often people try to change the wrong things about their lives. Its your life make the most of it with whaat you have been given. Self mutilation is not the answer - let's face it cross dressing and sex changes = attention seeking behavior.
