10 Things Wrong With 'The Game' Season Premiere {theBVX.com}

Jan 18th 2011 2:42PM I have only recently come on board with The Game after having seen the marathon of episodes. I grew to like it somewhat and anticipated the new episodes. I saw the cast members on Monique's and Wendy William's shows respectively. It was explained that the new episodes would represent a fast forward in years, yet certain things didn't make sense. For example, the little girl was a five-year-old in the last season's episodes but now appears to be a pre-teen, with all the attitude of one. I also didn't see any chemistry between Tasha and her new lover. From Rick Fox to this? As a previous respondent said, I too hope the scripts get better, or I won't be tuning in.

'Toddlers & Tiaras' Mom Talks Dressing Her Child, 3, in Makeup and Cone Bras {ParentDish}

Jan 13th 2011 3:01PM I don't know you or your child and therefore am not judging you personally. However, it is disengenuous for you to say that "a 3yr. old acts like a 3 yr. old and appears her age no matter what she is wearing on her face"...not true! In the pageants I've seen on television, the most egregious thing that stands out to me is these overly made up babies! Children possess an innocent, natural beauty that should not be covered up in an attempt to make them more alluring. For whom? These babies look like mature show-girls that should be performing in Las Vegas! The choice to put your child in a pageant of course is yours, but search within yourself and be honest...dollar signs and visions of your child being the next big celebrity has clouded sound judgement.

Is This Times Square Mural Offensive to Women of Color? {theBVX.com}

Mar 19th 2010 3:55PM While I am all for freedom of expression in the arts, I do see validity in the points made by those who have taken offense to these images. The fact that it appears in Times Square; former "Hedonistic Capital of The World", suggests a lot of irony here. Times Square is now "The Family Friendliest corridor of New York City." The depictions of these women of color as they are, do not appear very flattering and could be misconstrued as how women of color present themselves to the world. A more balanced view would have included women of color in business attire or less revealing clothing, as well as "The "Round The Way Girls."

The Obamas' Marriage Isn't So Special {Lemondrop}

Nov 5th 2009 3:41PM Why is it even necessary to try and dissect the Obama's marriage? Whatever works for them, works for them. We, the public, need to stay up out of their business. I don't recall this much speculation about the Bush marriage.

'Bridezillas' May Result in Jail Time {Lemondrop}

Aug 5th 2009 4:51PM Unfortunately, we now live in a world full of narcissist who want to be "famous" and these people will say and do ANYTHING to get their fifteen minutes. This need for attention is a mental health issue and should be viewed as such. Psychologist and psychiatrist shoud explore devising treatments for these people, after their fifteen minutes expire. They can make a mint off these misfits.

Did I Give My Son A Girl's Name? {ParentDish}

Jul 29th 2009 3:42PM Over forty years ago I came across a name I liked and vowed to name my son the name, which is Shannon. I had no idea at the time it was a unisex name. It wasn't until years later that I found out there seemed to be more females than males named Shannon. However, my son never expressed regret about his name, so I guess it's OK.
