Aussie KFC Ad Slammed as Racist in U.S. {Slashfood}

Jan 10th 2010 8:31PM The promo for this article is irresponsible and misleading. We were "never supposed to see it" because it was made for Australian television and not ours. You make it sound like some nefarious plot.
And the commercial itself is NOT racist. The team opposing the Australians are from a predominantly black country. The "fried chicken is racist" thing is purely American. This is a lot of hoopla over nothing.
Australians see this as a non-issue.

Toby Keith Targeted for 'Racist' Gesture {PopEater}

Dec 16th 2009 7:17PM You are all focusing on a typo and ignoring the mans last sentence. It is a racist statement. I am a white woman and while I disagree with his statements I DO understand the underlying anger. Whites are expected to take every joke, mean spirited and racist jokes, and have a thick skin about it.You would all laugh and ridicule, (probably would call THEM racist for being upset about it) a white person who was up in arms about a silly gesture done in the spur of the moment.
I think it is time that everyone buck up and stop being so sensitive. Some of the things people find to be outraged and offended over are ridiculous. How about spending that energy helping children and others who need it?

Think Looks Don't Matter? Think Again {AOL Jobs}

Dec 15th 2009 6:42PM I disagree with the height thing...it may be true to a point. I am nearly 6'2 and found that the shorter women were getting promoted and paid better, I do agree that there is "lookism" in the workplace however.
And I guess I am a "one percenter" as I married a man shorter than me. What a jerky poster! There is someone out there for everyone, it is the size of your heart that matters.

Why the loss of big-name advertisers doesn't matter to Glenn Beck {Daily Finance}

Dec 2nd 2009 1:21PM +When Beck speaks, it seems that we have to listen to it from Mathews, Maddow, Shultz, Blitzer, and some others, who feel an obligation to let us know his latest idiotic utterance.+

So basically what you are saying Ken is that your opinion of Beck is based on the bits and pieces that are hand selected and out of context and meant to show Beck in the worst light possible? Now that is an intelligent, well educated point of view.

Dec 2nd 2009 1:00PM Sorry Patriot, but I must point out that TARP was started under President Bush. Perhaps Obama effed up it's intention but maybe we should leave that one off of his failure column?

Dec 2nd 2009 12:35PM Just curious, where do you listen to him? In snippets on the Rachael Maddow show or Olberman? Or perhaps on youtube in hand picked distorted snippets on LiberalViewer's channel?

Dec 2nd 2009 11:57AM I dare you all to watch him for two weeks and still come away unenlightened. Yeah he is a bit over the top sometimes in his delivery but he is also bringing a lot of things to light. I don't always agree with him but I do believe he is a straight shooter.

I took an oath on my eighteenth birthday to protect this country from all enemies foreign and domestic and I intend to honor that oath. If I keep my head buried in the sand I cannot do so.
