Mezuzah Case: Condo Association Bylaw vs. Jewish Practice {AOL Real Estate}
Mar 29th 2012 7:20PM I am a Christian and find this is terribly wrong. This is a condo, so she owns her space. It is secured by velcro, so can't hurt the door frame. . This is clearly a case of religious discrimination
Family Faces Eviction Over Toddler's Noise {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 1st 2012 4:32PM I and most people I know have at one time or another been forced to tolerate the miseries of other folks undisciplined children. In homes, restaurants, stores, on airplanes, etc:. Teaching our children to respect people and property is very important. There is nothing as ridiculous as an adult / parent saying they can't control the behavior of a 30 lb "normal" child. Yes, they can, but it requires work, training, consistancy and commitment, and they need to get off their butts and do it..
Oregon Vet Faces Eviction for Displaying U.S. Flag {AOL Real Estate}
Nov 4th 2011 1:03PM "St. Vinnie's gets some money from the government and the rest, almost exclusively, from contributions from American. See a conflict here. Take our money, but don't allow us to display who we are. No more money in the "red bucket" from me.
Prince William and Kate Middleton Marry at Westminster, Kiss at the Palace {AOL Royal Wedding}
Apr 29th 2011 1:23PM It was pleasant to watch the "Royal Wedding" today. I was sorry to read some of the comments on this site. Is it possible for you folks to take a brake from your petty meaness and bickering to appreciate a joyful occasion ? Go ahead, give it a try, it's really not that difficult. And, of course, you can easily resume your misery if you find pleasure too uncomfortable.
I certainly wish this couple and all of us all of the happiness we can find.
7 Signs You're in a Manipulative Relationship {MyDaily}
Mar 21st 2011 12:59PM I can't understand your response to this subject. Did you just want to tell us you thought you were beautiful, and your husband so virile and handsome, that the two of you were just irresistable to each other, and so would live with manipulation? You are kidding, right? It must be a joke, "bedroom eyes", get over yourself.
7 Signs You're in a Manipulative Relationship {MyDaily}
Mar 21st 2011 12:08PM Manipulators are not always lovers, they can be parents, children, siblings, or even friends,
anyone you love or care about or are dependent upon. I have experienced them first hand.
They use your feelings for them as a weapon, love or need can have this power over you. I do not believe manipulators will change, because they don't want to. I have seen them when they are threatened with losing something or someone they want. They will "be nice" for a while and then revert once the imediate threat is past. Some people may believe this is BS, it is not. Manipulators like Narcissists wreak havoc and cause misery to those who love or need them. Their damage can be life long, especially if their victims are children. This is not gender specific by any means, they lack empathy, so hurting is easy, and of course they are never wrong. Luckily, I recognized the traits of these dangerous people early in life, and avoided them whenever possible.
A Penny Saved {MyDaily}
Mar 15th 2011 6:08PM This is so wrong. Banks are in the business of money. They charge large fees, and interest. I worked in the industry for more than 25 years, they are notorious for paying low wages, and making high profits. Their corruption caused much of the economic problems we are currenting experiencing, and they were bailed out. They certainly should have honored the payment, regardless of the coinage. Just another example of sticking it to the consumer!!!!
'Quirk': Author Hannah Holmes Spills the Five Factors That Shape Personality {MyDaily}
Mar 7th 2011 11:19PM Another expert who knows nothing. In America, our modern society has solved the issue of survival. And, so we now spend time analyzing personalities. We take as truth one foolish theory after another. Narcissists are worshipped, right and wrong is a blur, honesty and kindness are are considered a weakness. The takers suck the life out of the decent and generous people in the world, and feel no shame or guilt about the pain they inflict. The human race has not come so far after all, enlightenment and knowledge has not changed those in power. Equality is not what is desired, entitlement mentality is rampant. When those of us who support the takers are stripped bare, there will be nothing left and America will fall. The rich and powerful will go on as they always have, the middle class who created this great society will be a memory, and those who expected something for nothing won't realize that they destroyed what they coveted. So yes, I sure want to read more BS from the so called experts as I grieve my grandchildren's future. I will have another glass of wine, and pop some pills and maybe I will feel better too.
The Word 'Retard': Stop Using It {ParentDish}
Mar 6th 2011 10:47PM I am afraid I disagree with prohibiting the word retarded. Please look up the definitions. There are several ways to use the word, as a verb a noun and an adjective; retard, retardant, retardate, and retarded. It is a very discriptive word. If it is also used slang, so be it. More often than not, it is a joke, not an insult. Almost any word can be offensive, if it is meant to be offensive. I refuse to give up my right to use language as I choose. In fact, I am offended by those who continue to infring upon my freedom of speach. Enough is enough. Teach children right from wrong, generousity, kindness.and common courtesy, (it seems to be in short supply now a days), and leave the language alone. True story-- several years ago I heard my then 7yr old granddaughter call her 9yr old brother "developmentally delayed", because he annoyed her. (typical sibling spat) The "PC" language had been taught to her by her Mother who teaches "special needs" children. Neither of the Kids have learning problems, they very much respect their Mother's work and often assist her with projects. And, it would be the same if the students were called "retarded". 'A rose by any other name smells as sweet', lets not confuse language with intentions, good or bad.
Emotional Vampires: The 5 Most Common Types -- And How to Slay Them {MyDaily}
Jan 31st 2011 12:43PM Is almost every article AOL publishes a sales pitch, or pure "BS" ? I am so tired of it, I wonder why I continue to use AOL. "Emotional Vampires" or what ever you want to call them, can cause serious difficulties for others, especially if they are relatives. I would have appreciated some insight about dealing with them, but it turns out, I would have to buy the book to find out .
Enough AOL!!!!!!!!!!!. But, maybe you are just one big advertisement.
