Who knows about Winans and his ex-wife? It could be slander for all anyone knows because without visual evidence people assume it's a case of she-said-he-said. Since Oprah showed her political stand some people have become overly critical of her but she is still good at what she does and that's what counts.

Worse still, parents feel "honored" to have their daughters buy boobs, dye their hair blonde and move into the playboy mansion to sleep with a man old enough to be their great-great-grandfather among others! Nov 2nd 2009 6:49PM Ace, your English is so poorly written but I just wanted to give you a very simple illustration: A loving parent who has two kids teaches them right from wrong, like tell them NEVER to drink and drive because they could die or even kill others. Say one of the kids always trusts that their parent knows best and so obeys, never drinking and driving and all goes well for him. Say the other kid just doesn't care to obey anything their parent says and goes on to drink and drive. Say this kid in one of his drinking and driving sprees gets involved in an accident and dies. Their loving parent taught both of them the benefits of right and consequences of wrong yet one chose the former and one the latter. Anyone blaming their father for the choice of the wayward child would be out of their mind, much like you blaming God for the wrong choices people make. God has lovingly given people FREE WILL to choose life or death. You have obviously chosen death but still, God is so loving that if you or Ian decided today to change your course and choose life, he'd give you EVERLASTING LIFE. What a wonderful and loving God!

Nov 2nd 2009 6:08PM shawn, amazingly, whether you believe it or not, the Bible has to be fulfilled including the scriptures that say that a "great multitude" of believers will enjoy the gift of everlasting life because of having led a righteous life. You must be looking for those who live a "Christ-like" life in the wrong places. May I suggest that instead of looking for such believers, why not try to cultivate a Christ-like personality for your own salvation?

This is about a homosexual Ian McKellen ripping Bible pages where God, who is obviously NOT a homosexual says it is an ABOMINATION to be one and it is God who commands those who believe in him to tell others about his teachings and he says they are free to take it or leave it. Just don't be mad that someone else has chosen to believe and share the message. Ian has a right like everyone else to take the message or leave it but ripping the Bible pages is what most find ridiculous.

Nov 2nd 2009 5:11PM There's a HUGE difference between judging others and WARNING them because neighborly love dictates that if you see someone walking toward disaster you should at least let them know so they can CHOOSE to change course or to keep walking toward it. Ezekiel 3:18-21; 1Corinthians 6:9-11; and it was Jesus himself who gave ALL his disciples the command in Matthew 28:19,20.

Nov 2nd 2009 4:31PM Dear Teresa, you say you are a "Southern Baptist," whatever that means because I'm only familiar with Christianity as taught by Christ and I know that the word of the true God ( Father and God of Jesus Christ) is alive and is meant for teaching and reproving, setting things straight and disciplining in righteousness (2Timothy 3:16). Jesus Christ came for ALL mankind because ALL have fallen short of God's glory and need redemption, in fact Christ was accused by the overly righteous, wicked Jewish religious leaders of his time for associating with sinners but in answer he told them that he had come to save such sinners and not the self-righteous like them. In short, the Bible is God's word, the koran only takes part of it like most people do and God's word should be EVERYWHERE a sinner can be found including motels. If the koran was really God's word, most people would be excluded from salvation because like most people who have never been to a mosque, I have NEVER seen a koran.

Nov 2nd 2009 3:03PM Makes no sense at all, just like ripping a report card with an "F" does NOT suddenly give you an "A" or miraculously change the results in any way shape or form. Sir, with all due respect, homosexuality is an ABOMINATION and just like Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for that sin, those who do not repent and leave that ABONIMABLE way of life will face them same end. Accept the cramped and narrow road that leads to life or keep on walking on the wide and spacious road that leads to destruction (Jesus' words, Matthew7:13,14) but ripping the Bible pages that condemn your behavior is kind of looney. I hope you won't start ripping the pages of Matthew that I just quoted! Hopefully happy repentance which we all need.
