Mar 1st 2011 10:16PM I never was much of a cat lover, but since having a few girlfriends and their cats live with me through the years I now apreciate how special they can be. One that I became very attached to named Tamran would follow me from our condo out to a very large lawn area and play fetch with a small ball I got for him just like a dog would do.
I am very much a dog lover and was so very lucky as to save a purebred Jindo (Asian wolf) from going to the pound about 16 years ago who became the best friend I have known and loved through my life.
Sierra went everywhere with me and just loved wearing sunglasses that I would bend the ear pieces from going over and down human ears to pointing inward into the hair on the back of his neck.
We would go on trips up into the high mountains that would be sometimes up tp an 8 hour drive and never once would he try to remove his sunglasses.
He brought so many laughs and smiles to other drivers on the highway as we traveled, especially children.
What a great gift he was to everyone we crossed paths with, there's nothing like seeing all those smiles and hearing all that laughter created from the joy he brought to everyone. I got so many requests from people wanting to get either a photo of Sierra alone wearing his sunglasses or photos where they posed with him, it seemed he sensed when it was time to stop long enough for a photo or two before going back to his exploring on our walks.
When back packing Sierra had his own back pack that carried his food, treats and two bottles of water. You wouldn't believe the delight of other hikers faces when they saw him coming down the trail with his back pack and sunglasses on.
I was blessed to have such a wonderful friend to enjoy life with for 15 years.
Unfortunately time finally caught up with him as I had to put him down on of all days my birthday (march 12th) last year.
But I have the comfort of knowing I gave him and he lived fully a long wonderful life and that he couldn,t have been loved more.
I miss him dearly!!!.........................................................................Burt

Jul 6th 2010 6:53PM I'm very pleased to see Uruguay lose as they didn't deserve to be in the simi-final anyway, since they only got there by cheating. Bottom line you do not use hands in soccer!!! Ghana should have been there with Holland, though I believe Holland would have won that match as well.
I believe Germany will face and beat Holland in the final, though I will be cheering for Holland.

Jul 6th 2010 10:05AM I feel soooo sorry for my parents who are in their early 80s because we have AT&T ( ALL TRASH & TERMINATED-CALLS) so whenever I call them they have to go outside to be able to understand my call, or to make calls with their AT&T cell phones. This happens rain or shine and is a shame to think of them needing to stand out in the rain to be able to use their AT&T cell phones.

SHAME ON YOU AT&T!!!

We suffer the same problems here in Southern California using AT&T.
Especially when inside a house, which are just single dwellings made of wood, sheetrock and stucco. We either have dropped calls or calls so distorted that both parties cannot understand each other. These problems only occur using AT&T not other carriers.
So don't feel alone NYC, we all suffer from AT&Ts bad promises and bad service, LOL.

Jul 5th 2010 1:34PM I don't know where you live but here in Southern California, most drug addicts are black or hispanic, which is irrelevent because drugs are a problem for all races.
Also almost all drug dealers here are hispanic, but that is only here that I can speak of.

And again it is irrelevent because the drug cartels are the real enemy regardless where they are from.

As for Americans having the most drug addicts that is true, but that is because Americans have the money so the American children become the target.
The children are the targets because they don't yet have the life experiences to always make the right choices.

Again the enemy is the drugs themselves and the big drug cartels.

They ruin lives in all countries.
