Luxist Review and Giveaway: Nicole Miller Fragrance {Luxist}

Jun 6th 2010 1:21PM Hello Deidre. I am curious as to why you are giving this away. I am more curious as to how one goes about getting luxury products sent to her door for sampling without compromising one's morals. It must be the name - 'Deidre' sounds so exotic and sophisticated. Girl's called 'Mal' all their lives just don't get gorgeous things set on their door-step the way Deidre's, Alexis', and Tiffany's do. (heavy sigh)

Luxist Giveaway: Win A Keri Golf Newport Tote {Luxist}

May 28th 2010 2:45PM I love the animal print tote! At my age, I could definitely use a little animal print accesory to remind my younger husband on our anniversary that he chose me because I still have a little bit of the "wild' left in me. :) roar

Kandi Burruss' Fiance's Death Related to Sickle Cell Anemia {BV Black Spin}

Apr 20th 2010 5:33PM My condolences to Kandi and to AJ's family. Kandi is such a beautiful soul. My heart breaks for her. She's the kind of person that I know I would enjoy hanging out with, even in my own humble home. She is real, nothing snobby or pretentious about her. I will be praying that she will find true love again when her heart has healed. She deserves to be happy again one day. God bless you, Kandi!

Eau No! How Do You Tactfully Tell a Guy He Smells? {Lemondrop}

Mar 2nd 2010 12:43AM I dated a guy when I was in high school that had horrible underarm odor and he was a heavy sweater. I had waist length hair that would sometimes drape over my shoulders. This guy put his arm around me and left his stench all over my hair. We were out for the evening and I had to fake illness and have him take me home just so I could go wash the stink off my hair. I really, really liked this guy, too. He would occasionally come over and chat with my mother if I was not at home so, I put my mother up to the dirty work of telling him that he had a problem. She even told him what products and scents might be particularly nice and it worked. My mom is gone now and I miss her very much as does my husband - yep - I eventually married that stinker but have never confessed that I put mom up to anything.

Now That's Devotion -- Secrets of Happy Couples Married for 50 Years {Lemondrop}

Feb 21st 2010 6:19AM What a lovely story. Thank you for sharing your conversations with these beautiful folks who have had such successful marriages. Compromise is definitely key in a long marriage as is faith in a higher power, and gratitude. I am so grateful for the love and friendship I have found in my spouse and I thank him and my God every single day. A kind and loving word, even during the most difficult times, can make all the difference in the world.

If You Learned It Then You Should Have Got An 'A' On It {ParentDish}

Feb 11th 2010 8:14PM Diane, so you just wanted the rest of us to know how intelligent you are? What was the point of your criticism? Just throwing some negativity out there? Sweet. Have a great evening.
Sheesh.

Do You Cry During Movies? Not More Than This Girl {Cinematical}

Feb 4th 2010 7:48AM Hilarious! Not sure how many times I could watch it but it sure was cute, and the husband's expressions cracked me up, too. Brilliant!

The 15 Most Inappropriate Movie Posters Redone for the Holidays {Moviefone Blog}

Dec 21st 2009 1:21PM Kevin,
I thought they were all great and I am not a graphic designer - just
a housewife with a sense of humor which, apparently, some do not
have. Thanks for the giggles. Merry Christmas!

10 Annoying Phrases That Serve No Purpose {Asylum}

Nov 27th 2009 9:18AM "I know, right?"
Typically used by teenagers and then by adults that want to sound hip or with it.

"Really?"
Again, typically used by teenagers to express displeasure or disbelief with what someone else just said or did but, again, used by adults who want to be in the in crowd.

"I won't lie" and "It doesn't make me mad."

"Think outside the box."

"Get real."

Although it isn't a phrase exactly, the new trend is to ask one's self a question and answer said question, for example,

Do I dislike it when people use words and phrases incorrectly? Yes, it can grate on my nerves? Would I ever tell the person that used poor grammar or mispelled a word or two that they did so? Well, no, that is just as rude and obnoxious but, hey, at the end of the day, I'm just saying, I mean, like, you know,right? ;) (Go ahead, say something about those people who use puncuation to display a little winky face at the end of a sentence they just typed to show that they were attempting to show humor.) OMG LOL ;)
