High School Strips Transgendered Homecoming King of Title {Lemondrop}
Nov 14th 2010 8:59PM False. He is not a girl, nor is he "still" a girl as the article states. But beyond that, the heterosexist prom titles are irrelevant anyway.

The TODAY Show searches for the country's best sandwich {Slashfood}
Sep 21st 2007 12:14PM @ #14 -
If you like the bahn mi at Quang's, I reccommend trying it at the Jasmine Deli - best two dollar sandwich I have, or ever will, taste.
Granted, I'm a vegan and have never had their meat bahn mis, but my omni friends enjoy them. I prefer the mock duck, myself.
Alas, an Eastern sandwich apparently is not American enough to make it on the list.
Burger King says, 'aloha' to Spam {Slashfood}
Jun 15th 2007 2:49PM @Ernie:
Close, but not quite right. Spam is popular in the Pacific Islands for the same reason that Skyflakes crackers are - they come in a tin. Before food could easily be transported over long distances, it had to be packaged properly ( either canned or in a tin ) and sent by boat. Food that can't go bad while crossing the ocean = awesome, to those who can't get anything "better".
Breakfast cereal friends from KidRobot {Slashfood}
Apr 16th 2007 1:36PM KidRobot generally doesn't make toys for kids - they're for the 18-32 demographic, mostly design nerds and kids at heart. No one in their right mind would buy a Smorkin' Labbit for a minor.
Dogs that crave veggies? {Slashfood}
Sep 15th 2006 12:28PM I once had a lab/retriever mix who went crazy for mustard greens, and one who would eat watermelon straight down to the rind ( though she'd stop right when it got to the green! ).
My cat, odd thing that she is, has a fondness for mushrooms and jalapenos.
The Political Game: Anti-game candidate works the crowd {Joystiq}
Sep 3rd 2006 1:50PM Screw Hatch - Minnesotans, vote for Becky Lourey. She's all about free speech, public transporation, and helping the people. Plus, she said she really liked my Katamari Damacy t-shirt.
Oops! Brain training doesn't help aging brains {Joystiq}
Apr 24th 2006 5:53PM I've read quite a few articles that say playing videogames ( or engaging in any mental stimulation ) helps slow Alzheimer's. Is this scientist denying those studies?
