May 27th 2011 3:25PM OMG, how rumors get big... the "guy from Hangover 2" didn't shoot heroin on Bill Maher's show... lol, how crazy is that? He smoked a joint! lol

Rob Lowe Tried to Help Charlie Sheen: 'He's Not Interested' {PopEater}

May 2nd 2011 9:18PM As a friend of Bill's, he's entitled to talk about himself, as have many many other people over the years. As long as you don't bust someone else's sobriety, it's all cool.

Steve Earle Finds Himself More 'Alive' Than Ever {The Boot}

Apr 7th 2011 2:12AM Nonsense. There is a strong genetic component to alcoholism and addiction that has been proven by numerous studies over the years. Does that mean the son of an alkie will become an alkie? Not necessarily...but his chances are much greater than average. Simlarly, the Irish are genetically notorious drunkards...it's true. And American Indians can't hold their liquor and often become alcoholic. It's a genetic predisposition... just as some people are genetically more likely to have heart disease or cancer or a high IQ. What you choose to do with that is personal choice, but genetics plays a role.

Does Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' Rip Off Madonna's 'Express Yourself'? {PopEater}

Feb 11th 2011 5:27PM I hear a lot of musical rip-offs nowadays. Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" starts out just like Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London."

Snap Judgement: A Holiday Card Photo Dilemma {ParentDish}

Nov 14th 2010 1:32AM I have never understood why families send out Christmas cards showing only their children. I always want to see my friends in the photos, not pictures of their little kids that I don't know and have never met. I want to see the whole family together. For years I was unable to see my family much at all, and it would have been nice to see photos of all of them -- not just the kids.

'Twin Peaks' 20 Years Later: How the Show Changed Television {Inside TV Blog}

Apr 20th 2010 10:30PM I lost interest in Twin Peaks after it became clear that the show's primary purpose was to mindlessly perplex rather than make any kind of sense, or lead anywhere. The difference is that Lost is coherent and is leading to a conclusion.

Story Behind the Song: 'Good Lord and the Man,' John Rich {The Boot}

Aug 8th 2009 1:14AM "Just as bad as Nazi Germany"? Oh puh-leeze... not even close. Yes, we have slavery and genocide in our distant PAST, but many countries have slavery and genocide as part of their PRESENT. America is a contantly perfecting ideal, and if you don't see the difference between freedom and tyranny, you deserve to live under tyranny.

Aug 8th 2009 1:10AM Thank God the Russians didn't win the war. The world would have been a much darker place in the second half of the 20th Century with the Iron Curtain blanketing Germany and Japan, along with all of Eastern Europe.

Story Behind the Song: 'Good Lord and the Man,' John Rich {The Boot}

Aug 8th 2009 1:02AM Such a historical lie, callumjstewart. Churchill was desperate to get the US into the war much sooner, but the American people tried to be isolationist. The U.S. entered the war in late 1941 and the war lasted nearly 4 more years. Exactly when did the "majority of the fighting" occur? In 1942-45, that's when. The U.S. turned the tide of the war with great generals like Eisenhower and Patton, and the planning and executing of the D-Day invasion onto the continent.

Why Women Pay More for Health Insurance and When It Will End {Lemondrop}

May 18th 2009 8:25PM Well, duh... it makes economic sense to charge people more for insurance if they use the services more, or if they are more prone to certain illnesses. This is not discrimination or "profiling," it is plain and simple common sense. I actually thought I used to hear that women pay LESS for health insurance because they tend to live longer. If it's politically incorrect, so be it. Those who have a problem with this have a problem with reality.
