Health Care Rationing and My 91-Year-Old Dad {Politics Daily}

Jul 31st 2009 4:34PM I wanted to share a great book I just finished reading called Die$mart by Kathy Lane. It helps you financially prepare for your death.
I have been worried about my family having to cope with death and finances, that I thought I would save them from the costs if possible.
I now feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders since I filled out all the forms this book provides.
After following some of the suggestions in the book, I am now comfortable that I’ve done the basics necessary to allow me to protect my assets and minimize that trauma to my loved ones in the event I’m not able to help myself in the future.
I hope this can help someone out who reads this blog.

Cost of dying killing family budgets {WalletPop}

Jul 22nd 2009 8:33PM The cost of dying is atrocious, so why not better prepare yourself the way my family did by reading Kathy Lane's latest book, "Die $Mart".
It's easy to read, easy to understand and answers the questions you have.
I'm only telling you this because a friend of mine is going through her 2nd death in the family. Both under the age of 25.
You can die at any time, why not get better prepared now while you can.
The loss of a loved one is stressful, I'm sure most of us have gone through it. But why not mourn for the loss of the loved one instead of having the additional stress of all the costs and fees and such a funeral can cost.
Spread the word, please. For my friends sake and yours too!

Jul 16th 2009 9:14PM I recently read a book that I really enjoyed called, "Fun on Foot in New York" by authors Warwick Ford and Nola Ford. They have personally run or walked every trail they describe. I really would love to go to New York soon.

Lose Weight Without All the Annoying "Diet" and "Exercise" {Lemondrop}

Feb 14th 2009 10:49PM I read a book called The Live Food Factor, by Susan Schenck.
This book is definitely the most comprehensive book on the raw food diet . It is the raw food bible, encyclopedic in scope.
I've already lost weight and I have way more energy.
This has been the only diet for me that has worked.

Comfort Zone Investing: Six smart ideas for stocks in 2009 {BloggingStocks}

Dec 29th 2008 7:53PM Thanks for that book! Recently I read a book called The Worst Kind of Lies by John Patrick Lamont that helped me in investing. I was worried about scams, and came across this book, and found out it's a trilogy.
It's a mystery about corporate deceit, betrayal and even Murder. You can find more info about this book at http://www.jpatricklamont.com
Enjoy!
