I Want to Dress Like a '60s Secretary {Lemondrop}

Nov 25th 2008 10:15AM I'm very frightened right now. I JUST posted a blog about this very subject the other day, including pictures of my boyfriend Don Draper and my new fashion icon Joan Holloway.
Of course I didn't say it as elloquently as you did, but that's par for the course.

Apr 23rd 2008 4:14PM Thank you morons for my laugh of the day.
Joy, you may want to check your spellings on "to" vs. "too" and "your" vs. "you're" before you criticize anyone else in any category.

Leaving baby in the car {ParentDish}

Mar 12th 2008 11:13PM There was a story a few months ago from Orlando about a mom leaving a sleeping baby in a parked car IN HER DRIVEWAY while she ran into the house to grab an umbrella to cover the baby from the torrential downpour. She was in the house for a total of 30 seconds and there was an attempted kidnapping and subsequent arrest of the mom. While I think this is ridiculous on the part of the cops and a very unlikely circumstance, it's just something to consider. It scared the poop out of me and I'm not a mom yet. I would be sick if you got in some kind of trouble for such an innocent act. Government involvement in parenting has gotten way out of control.

The new Friday night {ParentDish}

Mar 8th 2008 12:10PM That's our Friday nights to a T - Netflix instead of dvr - and WE DON'T EVEN HAVE KIDS!

Jan 29th 2008 3:48PM I was four when our German Shepard died and believe it or not, I remember the sadness of the day they told me he was gone. Yikes.

Gender guessing based on mysterious criteria {ParentDish}

Jan 27th 2008 11:37AM Don't you just love unsolicited comments from strangers. Pregnancy seems to bring out so much opinionated rudeness - I'm surprised this is your first ancedote in all these long nine months. At least one you've shared, anyway - I'm sure it's not the first time for you!

The ever-changing list of Dos and Don'ts during pregnancy {ParentDish}

Jan 26th 2008 6:13PM When my sister was pregnant last year (first time), she let all that stuff drive her insane and pretty much stopped everything, including caffene, tuna, and deli meats. I had never heard of the deli meats thing, but I was like DUDE! Our mother smoked cigarettes and probably had cocktails every night! Then again, neither my sister nor I have had any invitations from Mensa lately...

Why we love Good Night Moon {ParentDish}

Dec 18th 2007 12:10PM I used to LOVE Where the Wild Things Are, though I suppose the monsters might bother some little ones, depending on their age and level of fear. Though I was a big wimp, so this might be okay for most!

Season's bleatings {ParentDish}

Dec 17th 2007 1:33PM The demands on our time from my inlaws. We gave up this past Saturday (7.5 hours but who's counting) to attend a church Christmas show with them - definitely not our thing, but it was fine. During that time we were informed they would like us over at their house next Sunday and then to spend the night with them Christmas Eve so as to be there nice and early Christmas morning. We're 35 years old!!! The time has come for one of us to grow balls (or in my husband's case, bigger ones) and put a stop to this madness. We like our private time, and just because it's the season for FAMILY TIME right now doesn't mean every waking moment (and I guess some sleeping ones as well) of the holidays needs to be spent with them.
