Buff-Guy Exercise Moves That Are Bad for Women {Lemondrop}

Jan 8th 2009 9:31PM I completely agree with Nancy. If you're not ready for certain exercizes, then by all means follow this advice. But if you're an experienced exercizer in reasonably good shape, there's no reason you can't perform any of these exercizes provided you've learned good form. And not doing headstands while on your period?? I heard you're not supposed to shower, either... In any case, I was a child gymnast. I started doing all these exercizes at age 6. I'm 27 now, and I'm just fine.

Ronald McDonald Goes Insane {AOL Video Blog}

Feb 13th 2008 12:34PM Blink...What just happened? Filing under WTF is a good idea! And if you didn't know who Ronald McDonald was already, what would you get out of this? And for those of us who do, I am SO never going to a Japanese Mickey-D's!!

'Magic pants' make your butt look smaller {Stylelist}

Jan 9th 2008 3:44PM Um...they're cotton jersey bell bottoms. Not to mention that the reason they make her legs look long is that they're dragging on the floor (and she's probably wearing 5" platforms to boot). I actually have a pair of yoga pants that look just like these. They were $10 off the clearance rack at Old Navy about 6 years ago. They make nice pajamas. I sure as hell don't go out in public in them...not even yoga class.

FYI, you can make yourself a pair of these for about $10 with a little know how...go to a fabric store, pick out what you want, find a pattern, and sew. Custom tailored and everything.

New Old Navy: Does this mean it won't suck? {Stylelist}

Jan 4th 2008 1:42AM This looks like the same stuff they've had since I was in high school...interestingly enough, in 1998. Boring t-shirts, boxy sweaters, saggy cargo pants... If they're still aiming for high school aged kids that's fine, but if they want to grow with their original customer base they need to start adding some extras, like tailored shirts and solid-wash non-destructo jeans. These things don't need to be expensive, but they need to look like a respectable young professional might wear them.

They're also missing out on a big market: young adult women who aren't big, but aren't as thin as they were in high school, either. I can't tell you what I would do for a simple button-up shirt that fit long arms, wide shoulders, 34DDs, 28-inch waist, and 38-inch hips....literally every shirt I own is purchased two sizes too big and tailored down to fit around the waist (usually involving four darts in the front and six in the back...brutal). If someone could do that for under $40 I would be all over it. The closest I've ever come is New York and Company (but their sleeves are too short for me).
