Feb 17th 2011 9:10PM George is one of oh, say 25% of men who would be doing themselves and everyone else a favor by staying single and not procreating. There is a good segment of the world's male population that should NEVER attempt monogamy. It's against their nature. All that ends up happening is that a lot of people get hurt, women get left to raise children alone, often with little of no support, and these natural batchelor males end up miserable. We have 7 billion people on this earth, so what if 20% of them never have children. It would benefit the world to reduce the population. Encourage this as much as possible when you know a man who has no business in a monogamous phony relationship.
Jan 23rd 2011 4:05PM Remember the stories when society tolerated drunk drivers? The $50 ticket? Just because we as a society once tolerated drunks driving all over the place we should just let extreme bullying be tolerated by the same logic? Because, oh, there have always been bullies. Laughable logic. Here's the plan for civil discourse/behavior in America. Get the bullying and the bullies out of mainstream schools. Give them their very own Bully School where they are kept from the mainstream of society. That way the bully supporters will have some way to educate their bullykids and leave the rest of us to live peaceful and productive lives.
Jan 23rd 2011 3:40PM Why do we have to put up with bullies in the school? WeDON'T. Some people seem to think that just because there was bullying going on in their heyday that today's students need to put up with the same. First off, NEVER were kids as mean and sociopathic as they are today. Secondly, uh...shouldn't we all be striving to improve the schools, raise the civilized bar for appropriate behavior instead of tolerating thug behaviors in kids and allowing these lunatics to run the asylum? Isn't life about striving for the betterment of mankind instead of maintaining the status quo? Nothing changes unless we change as a society...unless we EXPECT more from students, teachers, parents and administrators.
Jan 23rd 2011 3:21PM Having read some of the comments, it occurs to me that a great deal of this bully business is nothing more than a reflection of today's society. The teachers came out of the same pool as those doing the bullying. Some of the teaching staff are thugs themselves with attitudes and ghetto street culture in their background. If really stiff laws were enacted by states that stopped bullying dead in its tracks, these schools would attract a better element of people to run them because only highly civilized teaching staffs could pass the standards of staying in their jobs. As it stands, a good portion of the people running the schools are the same as the lunatics running the asylum.
Jan 23rd 2011 3:00PM The schools are obligated to do the following. One time you are allowed to bully another student without consequences other than a warning. The second time a bullying incident happens, is documented and confirmed, the bully is permanently removed from the school..never to return. EVER. The parents will soon get the point as they weary of driving their bullykid to a new school every few months. That would end the bullying. If violence was a part of it, they should be jailed...immediately.
Jan 16th 2011 7:27AM Don't you just hate grown men talking about how they can't manage their own lives...my wife (i.e., my mom) spanks me back in line. duh...I can't does nuthin without her. I'm just a clueless dude...can't cook, can't clean up after myself, can't do anything...duh, I'm a helpless child.
Jan 6th 2011 3:35PM We can expect for profit insurance companies to go out of business in the next few years. The administration is allowing them to raise rates right now knowing it will create a public option outcry that will result in a single payer system. It's coming folks, so get ready to celebrate. It's time FOR THE FOR PROFIT INSURANCE thieves to GO.
Dec 14th 2010 12:12PM Wow...it never fails to amaze me. It's okay for famous men to trot the globe having indiscriminate sex with anybody and everybody but when a woman has a series of boyfriends...ooohhhh...she's scarlet letter disgraced. Well, you know what, the earth is about 50-50 men and women...this double standard defies logic. If sex is about "power", I think I suddently get the male perspective.
