A kayak rolls easy enough and under the surface not seen by the eye lurk rocks, branches and all kind of obstacles you can get hurt by. Before you do anything put the thinking cap on first. Wel have you ever thought about this.....It is your tax dollar at work. Taken out of you paycheck weekly or bi weekly. Part of it goes to pay for unemployment. Mar 5th 2011 2:26PM Come to think of it, we all do need to loose some weight. I always put dieting off till tomorrow Now at 80 yrs young I still could loose around 50 lbs. Yet I feel healthy and have enough energy to do my daily walks, clean house, do the gardening etc. I must admit my stomach is in the way of bending over and watching the great grand kids take a lot of effort. Medically I am in okay shape. No high blood pressure or diabetics. My question is when one looses so much weight, what are they doing with all that extra skin that do not snaps back by nature. Just thinking of that makes me not wanting to loose my extra 50 lbs.

Mar 3rd 2011 4:30PM What an upsetting story. No help from any..not the crew and not from the other passengers??? Wasn't there a doctor on board?. I flew on American Airlines before and a lady went into early labor. Luckily as a midwife I could assist in the birth of the baby and help the mom. The baby was beyound help. Upon landing the ambulance met at the L.A. thormac to meet the patients. The crew was very caring and even tanked me for the assistance. About 6 months later I got a thank you note from the mother. But then at that time people were not so money hungry and the "sue" word was hardly heard. People were also not affraid to say God Bless you.

Feb 1st 2011 8:59PM Much to about nothing. I am 80 years old and used hot sauce or soap and so now and then a paddle or no dinner. I raised 4 kids 8 foster kids and 14 grand kids. All have good jobs and are working even in this rotten economy. The bible says do not spare the rod as long as you do it with love and explain why you are doing it. But I must admit that raising children in the present time is not easy since "parenting" is highjacked by the government. The youth of today is being brainwashed. Just look at TV what is being broadcasted there, drugs alcohol, sex, cheating, murdering, wrong lifestyles. No wonder this country is in such disarray. Instead of going after a mother that is trying to disipline a child go after the idiots that permit al the filth on TV.
