5 Ways to Look Festive This Season {Stylelist}
Dec 23rd 2010 10:50AM I honor of the season I'm wearing my red, green and white plaid 1 piece pjs from Victoria's Secret. I work from home so no one will see me except for the neighbors when I go up to get the newspaper and the mail. If I need to go to the bank or the post office I will put on my red sweatshirt and green sweatpants. Unless it is a formal event or an uptight office, who cares what someone wears as long as they are covered.
Bad Holiday Gift Ideas for Your Significant Other {Holidash News}
Dec 17th 2010 8:37AM My husband won't even go hunting with me. We went once and I had to walk in front of him while carrying a gun. On the other hand we collect antique weapons. I much prefer the knives and swords over the guns. Much more personal and easier to use.
The Grinch Helps Shelter Pets Find Homes {Pawnation OLD}
Dec 11th 2010 8:38AM Our shelter in Central VA is waiving fees right now. Go to your local shelter and see if they are doing something similar. Or look for a pet on Craig's list.
Top ten overrated international travel destinations {Gadling}
Nov 4th 2010 9:55AM We travel alot and have been to many on the list. Paris is so much more than the Eiffel Tower. Stonehenge was a 2 minute look see for me. I went to the gift shop while my husband took endless pictures. Same thing with the Grand Canyon.
Cancun is nothing but a good place to fly into and then you can head south or west to the various historical sites. Niagara Falls was worth a 3 day trip. Munich is a clean city. We don't go to beer festivals anywhere. Las Vegas has some good shopping and sites the rest is boring and irritating. Same with Orlando. We don't do Disney. Many places have 1 site to see. I may never see them because it is not worth a trip to see something for 20 minutes in the middle of nowhere and then leave for a long journey.

$75,000 the tipping point on well-being scale {WalletPop}
Sep 26th 2010 8:38AM My happiness has always come from within. Once I got past the issues caused by my horrendeous childhood, life just became an adventure. I married young to have a guy to use to keep me together. After the divorce, as a single mother working a low paying job I was happy because my bills were paid and I had some fun guys to interact with. Many years later now remarried, living in a McMansion, working from home on my terms for the company we own, making $500K+ a year I'm still happy. The difference is I have more stress and less fun now, but I also travel all over the world, own everything I want, and get to have many experiences that cost more than a few bucks.
Confession -- My Abusive Ex Was Just Like Mel Gibson {Lemondrop}
Jul 29th 2010 9:17PM My husband of 17 years has too much mouth and has threatened me more than once. In public with others he is Mr. Wonderful. I make sure others know what is going on to keep him in check and to protect myself. Otherwise I have a very comfortable life and have no intention of giving it up.
Can You Actually Use Your Frequent Flyer Miles? {AOL Travel News}
Jun 15th 2010 8:06AM I have never really had a problem redeeming my US Airways miles. We travel alot so I just rack them up and figure out somewhere we want to go and use them. We went to South Africa in April using miles. RT was 70000 miles each plus $168 taxes per ticket.
Opinion: My Daughter's a High-School Dropout and I'm Totally Okay With It {ParentDish}
May 28th 2010 4:07PM I don't care what path your daughter or anyone else takes as long as they are financially responsible for themselves or have a means of support that does not include me as a taxpaper. Also, I do not believe in supporting children once they reach 18. My daughter finished at 17 and became totally self supporting as did I. Same deal for my 2 stepchildren except they were 18. We all have college degrees except the stepson and he has one more year and is receiving no financial assistance from us or his mother.
Can I Name My Baby After the Dog? {ParentDish}
May 22nd 2010 8:39AM My ex husband's name was Oscar. We adopted a puppy from a neighbor that had been named Oscar. It was fun when I had to call the vet to get an appointment.
