Oct 17th 2008 11:00AM The fault of childhood obesity does not rely strictly with treats,,,, it comes from how many of those treats are handed out constantly and the video game and computer society we are raising our kids in. I bake continually,,, for a living also,,, and I have three very healthy non-obese children, and 6 health non-obese grandchildren,,, why???? because I make them go outside and play and only allow 1/2 hour of video games,,,, A DAY. They ride their bikes and climb trees and run, and trust me,,, they have all had their share of treats over their lives. Unplug the video games and get the kids a hobby outside!

Oct 17th 2008 10:56AM God save us from the other parents who try to micro-manage our own children,,, no prayer in school, no this, no that,,, now no cupcakes?? Give me a break. I agree with the previous poster,,,, Majority should rule. I would be more inclined to vote on a dress code getting rid of belly shirts and saggy jeans (or just as bad,, too tight jeans) and let the kids eat cake!!
