Travolta and Preston Gearing Up for 'Silent Birth' {PopEater}
Nov 16th 2010 10:40AM I'm disgusted.. yes, to each his own, etc, etc.. but to tell someone they can't scream in pain??? God will not be mad if you cry or scream in pain. Why do you think he gave you that capability?
This is absolutely awful... telling someone how to experience such an intense event, and you can't even make noise? That is NOT CELEBRATING the birth. It is so wrong.
Why would anyone go along with this??
On top of that, being in that much pain and not screaming to relieve the pressure is so bad for your body!
The whole thing makes me shudder and shake my head in disgust.
Tweeting Your Miscarriage: Is Nothing Sacred? {Politics Daily}
Sep 30th 2009 11:44PM I think that broadcasting such a personal part of your body is wrong. Is nothing sacred, nothing personal for her? And what would drive a person to tell intimate details such as these to a public?? That is just wrong.
I think the author of this article is correct in saying that (and I paraphrase here) that most normal women would not take this type of thing nonchalantly. OF COURSE WE WOULDN"T! IT IS VERY SERIOUS!! It's cold-hearted to describe it like someone would when getting a manicure. That is very disturbing.
OMG this is horrible. And someone commented that they thought it was a good thing to describe her relief on here?? NO, you are welcome to talk to someone privately about it, but not in such a public forum.
Quite sad, really, that she doesn't understand what privacy is.
Curves Cropped, Kelly Clarkson Appears In Fitness Mag {PopEater}
Aug 9th 2009 6:58AM when a person is photoshopped, it implies that they are not attractive enough as they are. Hmmm.. seems to me they got where they are on their own recognizance, so why should a magazine think they should fix that??!
It's wrong to photoshop people because it also gives the misconception that everyone successful is thin, has flawless skin, flawless flowing hair, etc. and that is SIMPLY NOT TRUE!
No wonder we have so many self-image issues.. if a magazine "changed" my image, I would not like it because that's implying that the REAL ME isn't good enough.
That's just not right.
And it sets unrealistic standards for many people.
And the bottom line?? She's more attractive in real life, with a few more pounds than in the magazine. In the magazine she doesn't look real, she almost looks anorexic, and truthfully it just isn't attractive. They even changed the shape of her chin! Just plain ridiculous.
Canned over a tuna fish sandwich: Employers use any excuse (and the recession) to lay off workers {WalletPop}
Mar 19th 2009 1:18AM I agree that it was ridiculous to fire this man over a tuna sandwich. I agree with the previous college girl who had been a manager at a fast food and then let her employees eat and not have to pay. That should be a perk, as long as it's not abused.
I hve worked in food service, and I work in a retail store now.
We donate all canned goods and anything left over to homeless shelters, etc. I will tell you though, why some things are not donated: because the world is SUE HAPPY! If you eat something and it makes you sick, you just might sue that store. So they are NOT going to put themsleves in that position. I don't agree that he got fired, etc, not at all! But I'm just pointing out WHY they don't donate .. some guy could take them to court. All the lawsuits have forced businesses into that.
Video Premiere: 'Backwoods Barbie,' Dolly Parton {The Boot}
Mar 12th 2009 12:48AM the shame is, she has lost way too much weight. If it is something she can't help, i.e., a health problem, then I'm sorry for her. If she lost so much weight for looks alone, then she made a mistake.
She looks too skinny.

Nov 19th 2008 1:34AM I am impressed with what Obama has to say about this. He's right, if a lawmaker is that focused on droopy drawers, then they are not busy enough with the real issues of the country.
The more I see and hear Obama, the more I like him!
Well said, Obama.
AIG spa trip redux: Canceled! {WalletPop}
Oct 11th 2008 4:41AM PJ, I agree.. there are those who are struggling to make ends meet, find food to feed their family.. my question is, how can AIG sleep with themselves?
AIG spa trip redux: Canceled! {WalletPop}
Oct 11th 2008 4:34AM Adding to my comment earlier, the spoiled salespeople at AIG
need to get real! They need to be told, "well, if you want to keep your job, you'll tighten your belt like the rest of the world.. at my job, we have cut back hours.. if I want my job, I go with the flow.. if I want to argue about it, there's not much that can be done..
If the salespeople were so great, why is the company in so much financial stress? Hmm, lets see.. could it be the extravagant trips ?
AIG spa trip redux: Canceled! {WalletPop}
Oct 11th 2008 4:28AM It really ticks me off that the company is taking MY money and using it to go to a spa... umm.. I can't afford to go on vacation because they get to go to a spa?? How outragious is that! And the statement that "its standard fare for high-level producers".. oh give me a break! What a bunch of spoiled producers they are! I don't get rewarded for doing my job, other than a normal paycheck.. and neither should they! How DARE the company use OUR money to fund their playdates.
Shame on you, AIG. and shame on the govt for giving them the money to do this! They should have taken the bailout money back when they saw how they SQUANDERED it.
