Billy Bob Thornton Demonstrates Why People Hate Hollywood {Asylum}
Apr 10th 2009 1:13AM What an ass. I can see it now:
"Band meeting! Look, Billy Bob, it's just not working out. At first we thought having you involved would raise our profile, but it turns out you're just too much of a wanker. It cancels out your name-recognition points"
Seriously. Ick.
How to Tell Your Guy You've Been Faking That O {Lemondrop}
Mar 10th 2009 2:55PM I find it sort of interesting the number of comments in which men wax almost poetically about the joys of the female orgasm . . . it's a very positive image of male sexual behavior that we don't often find exposed in popular culture or media.
Thanks guys! You have very fortunate lovers, all.

Olive Garden & Red Lobster to raise prices after a painful quarter {WalletPop}
Sep 19th 2008 12:09PM I don't want to dwell on this, because I am a server, and I try not to think about work when I'm not at work . . . but waiting tables full time, and attending university full time (as most of the people with whom I work do) is touuugh. I work at one of the busiest restaurants in DC, where the prices are high and the quality is good. I am usually dutifully compensated for my excellent service (I generally comp drinks and round down the check to the dollar so one doesn't have to deal with coins), but I get stiffed far more than I'd like to. And not from people you'd think either. It's generally pissy soccer-mom types: overpriveledged white ladies who take it as a personal insult that their burger doesn't have enough lettuce, or if their tequila soaked margaritas are a tad weak for their toxic systems. People, please. PLEASE tip your servers. We are literally trying to survive, and we bust our humps every day. I haven't had a day off in six weeks, between school and work, and I never take it out on my customers. I treat everyone exactly the same, and would hope, and should expect, that I am given good compensation. 10% doesn't cut it. Stiffing is wrong. If you can't afford to tip your server, please stay home.
Former Dell Dude Now Works In a Mexican Restaurant {Switched}
Nov 9th 2007 9:57AM "cum" is latin, idiots. Pronounced 'cOOm'
it's like saying 'mexican restaurant-AND/ALSO-bar', indicating that the restaurant has two functions, as a place that serves food and a place that serves alcohol. . . I hope some of you who commented about that were joking, or else you're all really pathetic and uneducated.
And you know what else? I'm a bona fide (latin again! Literally, 'good faith', loosely translated 'authentic') pot head. No, we're not all stupid. . .but I'm starting to think everyone else is.
My advice? hit the bong and read a book.
The Day's Least Surprising Story: Abstinence Doesn't Work {News Bloggers}
Nov 7th 2007 10:38AM "*TAX PAYERS** end up supporting their SEX-INDUCED babies"
. . . yes, damn those sex-induced babies. They're so obviously predisposed to crime. . . not like those cabbage patch kids, now *those* are some wholesome children.
sex=bad - - that is the attitude of the majority in this country, and that's why sex ed curricula fail. Sex is awesome if it's a) safe b)consensual c)responsible.
and remember, you're never going to irradicate every irresponsible teen by preaching *anything*. . . those sex-induced babies are always going to be around :-)
Is Islam the Fastest-Growing Religion? Guess Again {News Bloggers}
Oct 29th 2007 2:29PM This column has become so pathetic it's no longer funny. I've never been a fan of DD, but I've always managed to have some modicum of respect for his. . . style, if not his content. Now, not so.
And by the way, I don't mean to make strong, polarizing statements, but anyone who can't accept that all organisms originated from single-cell life needs to find a cave to rot in. Evolution doesn't make your god any less great. And Muslims are not all terrorists, and Athiests are not all angry, and Christians are not all idiots- - but Dinesh *is* all capitalist manipulation. . . using religious pseudo-text to sell, sell, sell. Sick bastard.

He has found a great God, alright, in dollars he trusts.
Why Atheists are Not Very Bright {News Bloggers}
Oct 20th 2007 10:33AM I just love how he uses the into-to-modern-philosophy Kant text to make such a sweeping argument. Truly a pseudo intellectual if there ever was one. I'm a sophmore in college and remember kids writing theses almost exactly like his *last year* in my second semester philosophy course. Dinesh's comprehension=drunk Irish kid at Catholic University's comprehension. . . and that's being generous, I think. When they're sober, those CU kids can be whip smart.
