Jan 18th 2009 12:49AM Girl-next-door types don't go to bars or go out dancing. The best way to meet one is at church. Seriously. Lots of churches have active singles groups. The GND wants a stable relationship and probably a guy with a steady career and a car. It's ok if it's eco-friendly. Also consider book clubs.

Oct 3rd 2008 12:51PM I saw this on TV the other night, and it struck me as very sad. Regarding the woman who "lost" her grandson: he's not dead. His mother remarried and moved to New Zealand. When the grandmother showed the five-year-old the mini-him over the Web cam, he called her a "numb-nutz!" As for the other couple, they just "forgot to have kids." I find it disturbing that she takes the babies out in a pram to playgrounds, etc. If the reborns help them cope, I guess they're not harming anyone. I saw an elderly woman with one in a restaurant recently. If it is comforting, so be it.

May 29th 2008 3:36PM What happened to underwire support in swimsuits? I bought one a few years ago, and I have not found another one since. The shelf bra just doesn't do it for me, a DD. I love a swimdress, but not the granny-looking ones. For the love, I consider my chest one of my best assets, and you can't find a swimsuit to support it!

May 29th 2008 3:17PM I agree; I seldom find anything at plus-size only stores. Lane Bryant has skewed really young, and their pants have always been too short for me. My sure bets are Talbot's (best-fitting pants I've found), Coldwater Creek, and Hot Cotton.
