How hard is it to get an epidural? {ParentDish}
Oct 26th 2008 10:32PM With both of my kids, I did an epidural interview at the hospital a couple of weeks before actually going into labor. I filled out all the paperwork, watched a video, and met the anesthesiologist. When I was actually in labor, all I had to do was wait for him to get to me. The first time was about an hour. The second was about 90 minutes.
'No sex before marriage' contest has no entrants {ParentDish}
Oct 25th 2008 11:46PM CLM, not everyone has sex before marriage. My husband and I waited, and so did many of our friends.
Do you resale shop? {ParentDish}
Sep 27th 2008 1:33PM I don't mind shopping at resale stores, but a lot of the time, I find that the prices aren't that great. I could get something brand new on clearance for the price of something already worn.
Going to church means heavenly grades? {ParentDish}
Aug 22nd 2008 10:18PM LS, the Bible doesn't actually say that God helps them who helps themselves. God helps the helpless! Isaiah 25:4 declares, "For You have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat..." Romans 5:6 tells us, "For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly."
When weight-loss camp is too expensive {ParentDish}
Aug 18th 2008 11:44AM From what I've seen, weight loss camp isn't really a solution, anyway. I've seen several documentaries on these camps, and the kids they profile never manage to keep the weight off after camp. Two of the girls on The Biggest Loser were actually counselors at Camp Shane, a popular weight loss camp. I find it ironic that the counselors themselves were so overweight that they had to go on the Biggest Loser.
The logistics of cars and kids {ParentDish}
Mar 24th 2008 8:08PM Tree, my son weighs 26 lbs now, and is about 33 inches tall and is too big for the regular PeaPod. The big one takes up nearly as much space as a Pack N Play, it's just not as tall. I'd say it's abou† 3 1/2 feet long by 2 1/2 feet wide.
The logistics of cars and kids {ParentDish}
Mar 24th 2008 11:55AM You have to get rid of the Pack N Play. It's so big and heavy! We dumped ours and got the Kidco PeaPod travel bed for our 3 month old and the Kidco PeaPod Plus (or Super, or Grande, whatever it's called) for our toddler. They weigh around 6 pounds each and fold down much much much smaller than the Pack N Play. I can even pack it in my suitcase when we travel on planes.
Trading Raymond Carver for Dr. Seuss {ParentDish}
Feb 27th 2008 5:05PM I have to say, I get the most reading done in the bathroom. I also read while my 2 year old watches his 1 tv show per day, and my newborn is napping. Needless to say, my housework is suffering.
Baby's first haircut {ParentDish}
Feb 26th 2008 4:48PM My son had so much hair when he was born, and it was so long, that we had to get it cut at 6 months. We went to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. Who knew they had a barber shop in the park?
