Nov 18th 2010 11:10AM clearly republicans are voting along party lines, again. If they can muck up the process in Washington surely they can do it on DWTS. ALL the Republicans I know are voting repeatedly for Palin. They are doing in on multiple cell phones to get in as many votes as possible. They have admited to me that they know she is not as good a dancer as the others. I cant believe they would destroy all the hard work and dreams of the other dancers ...to wag their finger at fair play to show they have the power to destroy. They are showing no respect to the contest or the other dancers. Bistol has clearly not cared about this contest.... She didnt even remember the dance steps until she realized the game her mother's supporters are playing. It is ugly behavior and reminds me of bratty childrens on the playground.
If republicans cant play fair on a tv show , then how can we expect them to play fair in Washington

Gap Debuts New Logo {Stylelist}

Oct 7th 2010 6:47PM this is also bad because the font doesn't fit the word. The word gap is about an opening and when you say the word you have to open your mouth and make a gap:) the font in the original logo looks like a gap ...like an opening.
the new logo is short and round , the opposite of the meaning of the word, the sound of the word and the way your mouth forms the words.
It doesn't fit. I am serious . the font for target fits the round nature of the target.
The serifs of the old logo fit the higher end and classic quality of what they would like the store image to be.
and the blue square is short and fat in a denim color ... not a good idea

Oct 7th 2010 6:37PM Clearly who ever is in charge of creative services is obsessed with signage. The store is filled with words rather than fashion. I have never seen a store that is suppose to be about fashion have so many signs with so many words.
Robinson designs great clothes but the clothes are lost in all the words.
Customers do not read signs !
And no one is going to stop and glaze at this new logo and analyze it and think how clever they are to rework the blue square .
They need someone to come in and actually visual merchandise the store , which is different than store design , different than styling the clothes, and very different than signage. They clearly have a marketing person who wants to put their own stamp on things, even if it is a bad idea.
They have a classic logo. They can play with the logo, the way target plays with their logo, but they should never change the core of the logo.
The old logo still works.

There is pain and beauty in understanding the human heart and the value of our emotional connections. There is a peace that happens as we finally put the emphasis where it should be .....on the importance of our personal connections and not on the battles between egos continuingly involved in a public event.

They built great cities, created Adam as a slave and thousands of other humans in their likness and then left the planet ... some say All of them did not leave. They are suppose to return ... Some say they are suppose to return in 2012 ....hmmm.... I think it is brilliant thet V is being brought back as we approach 2012. They can totally play off these old myths/ histories of our planet . it is brilliant

Oct 28th 2009 10:31AM for 1,500 this is great ... but the drapes in living room are not good ...dont use tab tops ..and they need to be taller and fuller to baiance the sectional
the tiny lamp on bookcase is not good ...maybe put it on a small small table next to the rocking chair . put some kind of art piece on the bookcase and uplight it or back light it
I question so many color changes for a small apartment . use mushroom grey and yellow thoughout .... the wallpaper in hallway is an odd color for the yellow wall it should be the mushroom
the small jar? by entry table is too small and too traditional for this apartment
painted headboard is much better and clever
again clever for $ 1500

Jun 1st 2009 7:30PM You are very clear in your email that you are giving good food to your dogs .
I was in a similar position years ago and it turned out to be a really good time for me and eventually lead to a very high paying job . So do not give up. I think of this as a transitional time before the next stage of your life begins.
Some ideas:
1.go to local meditation classes ..they are often free or very cheap. sometimes they have food. You will gain a moment of peace and eventually make friends.
2. take a walk ...anywhere ..around the block.
3. go to farmer's market ..even if you do not buy anything ...they are colorful , there are a lot of people ..it is outside.
4. you can buy a PLAIN cup of coffee very cheaply.and sit in a coffee house for a long time
5. You can go to a bookshop and sit and read books
6. there is usually some kind of adult education classes that are very cheap in ART or pottery ...you need something to take your mind off your troubles. new things come in when you are not focused on the old things
7. if yu have exta money to out out go to breakfast .... it is cheaper and filling.
8. go to your local food pantry charity. They can give you the basics for food and toliet paper etc ... save your money for the dogs and your electricity
9. cheese and torillas are the cheapest things to eat ..cheaper than peanut I think.... if you have bisquick and water you can make biscuits ...start thinking this way NOW to make your money last as long as possible.
10. when you have extra money buy something really healthy to eat.
11. the unemployment office often has assistence to write your resume .
12. take any job ...take three jobs ....any low paying jobs that no one else wil take ...it will keep you busy and allow you to meet people . Furniture stores will usually try anyone in sales for a while ...it is comission only but it is better than having nothing ... i had three low paying jobs at once to keep things going...
REMEMER it is not forever ...things change
13. when family give you a gift ask for gift cards that will buy food.
14. join a discount store. The first time I went to cost co I could only afford to but one block of cheese ....but it was a lot of cheese ...so I could gradually build up a pantry.

REMEMBER things change ..I now have a 6 figure salary again and own my house ...THINGS CHANGE ...put on some lipstick and forge again
