'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince': What Did You Think? {Moviefone Blog}
Jul 20th 2009 11:16PM What really has me bothered... if they did this to book 6, imagine what they're going to do to book 7. I usually go see the movie at least 3 times in the theater, but not this one. Once was enough.
What Michelle Obama's Staffers Earn {Politics Daily}
Jul 8th 2009 1:42PM I think it's interesting that with King Bush out of office suddenly he's canonized as a Saint. Obama will only finish what was started already, the destruction of the Constitution and our economy. I blame both parties, both Presidents... hell, let's just make a list of people responsible for the mess this country is in and get drunk bashing them. It's not like the people are going to actually do anything about it except whine on forums eh? Amen. Peace out.
Popular Pakistani Singer Allegedly Murdered by Her Family {Spinner}
May 6th 2009 6:57AM I'm sure her brothers will not be punished for their justified homicide, which is what you should call it since it's common place for such things to happen there. I'm sure they'll be awarded greatly and maybe even get a parade and holiday named after them.
When that happens, the masses will pounce on the President and demand he act on the poor woman's behalf. Should be an interesting show to watch. Not him, but the people who voted for him as their rose colored glasses melt away and they see their super hero for what he is, a politician.
Charity Case -- Do I Come On Too Strong? {Lemondrop}
May 1st 2009 11:24AM I dated a guy that pretended to be someone he's not to get my attention. He faked it. Yeah, guys can fake it too. At some point people start being exactly who they are, which that guy did, and we broke up. Be yourself, just tone down the gift thing and use different words to express yourself if you're scared you might run her off. Instead of saying "I love you" on the 2nd or 3rd date, tell her she's "the cat's meow". As far as gift buying, don't pull out the plastic, use the cash in your pocket. That'll help you curb the expensive gift trap.
By the way, I seriously adore you, you have the most incredible hair, I just want to pull it... can you buy me a new car????

J.K. Rowling's Book of Fairy Tales Finished: But Only Told to the Rich {Luxist}
Nov 2nd 2007 9:42AM JKR gets bipolar from time to time and needs to stay on her meds. She doesn't need to put another book out for the public until she gets a grip on herself. Her jealousy over her own characters and her actions to destroy them tells me she needs a long vacation from anything to do with HP and probably childrens books altogether. I think she's having some serious Freudian meltdowns. Shame too, she's brilliant... but brilliant people often go mad. She just took the trip a bit sooner than most.
Boycott Rosie? {AOL Video Blog}
Apr 10th 2007 4:08PM As much as I support the move to remove Rosie from the View, from the public in general would be better, what would a boycott of products gain? Imagine if 100's of 1000's did stop buying these products, what would happen? In this economy, those companies might lose more than a buck or two and what happens when big companies lose money? They start cutting back and people lose jobs. Along with a job loss they also lose insurance, their homes, etc. It's not Rosie that you're hurting, it's the people who work at these plants, it's their children. Boycott ABC instead. I sent an email of complaint to ABC many months ago because I was tired of seeing Rosie's face and being subjected to her mouth everytime I turned on the TV or went online. Imagine if all those people that signed the petition turned off ABC and let ABC know about it. The sponsors might react to a boycott but the reaction might be against the little people, not the big ones. There are bigger ways to hurt Rosie than trying to remember a shopping list of what not to buy. She slammed on the government, complain to them! Write your Congressmen! The power of the people is great, but lets make sure it's not innocent people we hurt in doing so.
Wal-Mart and Target show start of holiday price war {BloggingStocks}
Nov 17th 2006 7:08PM Pros and cons on both stores. Target is priced higher than Wal Mart but Wal Mart usually has empty shelves. Target is giving a very nice donation to Salvation Army and allowing them to sell an ornament in the store to reach their charity goals where Wal Mart is flooded with groups collecting money for charities no one has ever heard of and I doubt they actually exist. But, when you want girl scout cookies, you can count on Wal Mart to allow the girls to set up their tables there. We're about to get our first Target here, normally you have to drive 45 minutes to get to one, where we have a Wal Mart on every interstate exit, but with empty shelves. Wal Mart doesn't sell Harry Potter stuff, besides the books, GASP!!! I'm hoping Target does because my daughter is short a few of the ornaments and figurines. Target carries different stuff where Wal Mart has been carrying the same pineapple, elephant and palm tree pictures and crap for years. I think Wal Mart is secretly a Fred's. Price wise on groceries, Wal Mart is it... if the shelves are actually stocked. I'm hoping the Target that's due to open across the street from one of our Wal Marts here will motivate the managers and warehouse to get on it and keep the store stocked. Employee wise, there are buttheads that work everywhere, they are not only at Wal Mart stores. We have been fortunate that our 3 main Wal Marts around us are full of nice people and they usually help you out if they can. And our stores here are clean, even if the shelves are empty. Every business needs competition to keep them on their toes and Wal Mart has been void of competition for so long they've become too relaxed. Hopefully, that will change. I'll shop at both stores once the Target is open, since they're just across the street from each other, and see how it goes. Oh, and the person who slammed Target for not supporting the war thinking it means they do not support our troops... I do not support this war either but I whole heartedly support the troops fighting it. I have 2 nephews in Iraq right now and God willing, the war will end before they get killed, mamed or sent home a nutcase. Oh, another thing about Wal Mart... the prices at one store may not be the prices at another. I was told it's the managers discretion on pricing and that's wrong. If coke is on sell at one Wal Mart, it should be on sale at the others too. Especially if the one selling it is not stocking what they have on sale. (twitch) Wal Mart is all we have had here for a long time for groceries except extremely high priced stores like Publix and Brunos. If it wasn't for their lower prices, some of us would have to choose between food, gas or power. The economy sucks... I'm going with the lower priced store.. even if they do support gays.. and how does that person know that info anyway? Did he do a survey or something? I'm laughing just thinking about that remark. Sometimes people are seriously funny. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!
Latest Harry Potter Director: Michael Who? {Cinematical}
Nov 4th 2006 2:26PM The best thing that could happen to HBP would be if Chris Columbus directed. There hasn't been a decent HP film since CoS, although GoF had some really cool parts, that was the special effects dept. PoA was ok but nothing special, and GoF trashed Dumbledores character. There were so many parts that made me want to crawl through the big screen and straighten those people out. Harry would never call Snape Severus, especially not in front of Dumbledore, and the ending was too short, it left out too much. HBP is too important for an idiot to direct and WB only hope for saving the HP series is to bring back Columbus. These people need to realize that HP is not just a childs movie, there are as many adult HP fans as there kids and apparently we demand a bit more perfection. Give Columbus the moon if that's what he wants, just get him back.
