'Skating With the Stars' Host, Pairings Announced {AOL TV}
Nov 13th 2010 7:35PM I think "So You Think You Can Dance" has the best voting plan. The viewers vote... The bottom three then "dance for their lives" and the judges choose of the bottom three who should go. That way, "she who shall remain nameless" as it seems would have been gone LONG AGO, I think. Wait, she HAS been bottom three before, right? I don't watch results (I have other stuff on at that time) but I do watch the dancing show on Mondays!

Nov 1st 2010 2:39PM Kat, you don't think that could possibly have anything to do with our foods and the preservatives and chemicals we use in what we eat??? I know my grandparents were much more commonly eating veggies than any of my aunts/uncles/parents/my generation!
It's not that we didn't have these drugs, it's that we maybe didn't need them on such a large scale back then!
Lost & Found {MyDaily}
Oct 29th 2010 3:59PM Okay, for this guy, YES... scum, sex offender, bottom of the gene pool, should be put away for life... He molested a child.
But, PLEASE... remember that not ALL sex offenders are pedophiles or rapists. Think about the 18 year old guy who goes to the bar and meets a girl there (in a location that requires you be atleast 18 to enter) and they go somewhere and hook up. Her mom finds out and he gets branded for life b/c the girl was 15 and using a fake I.D. Yes, he DOES get branded for life. The person changing clothes in their own home but a kid walks by cutting between the houses and sees them naked and the parent finds out. Officially, yes, those people can become branded for life for changing in their own home if a child happens to LOOK IN THEIR WINDOW AND SEE THEM naked.
I only bring this up b/c my father is a probation and parole officer and he used to deal specifically with sex offenders. He reminded me when I'd get on a rant "You know, they aren't all scum sucking pedophiles.... sometimes they are guys who get a bad rap b/c the law always comes down on the side of caution even when the guy really didn't knowingly do anything wrong."
I just always feel like I need to say something when people get on the "sex offenders should all die" rants... Pedophiles, yes. But, not all sex offenders have intentionally done something to someone else but, b/c the law has to be strict to avoid the real bad guys falling through the cracks, they get stuck.
Save Big: Spend Smart on Small Appliances -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}
Oct 21st 2010 3:24PM Wow... I had never thought about the extent I have gone to with appliances for my kitchen! I see that the garbage disposal was counted, so I would assume all other typicals are counted? Oven/Stove, Microwave, Disposal, Dishwasher? On top of that an electric skillet, belgian waffle maker, regular waffle maker (both get used about once a month, more if we have company), two large crock pots (one is used regularly, one is used every weekend), two dip sized crock pots (also used often, usually for parties), a Café Frappé (I LOVE IT and use it DAILY!), a blender, a can opener, my mega Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, electric knife (used for roasts, turkey, etc), a bread machine, a regular coffee pot, a mini coffee pot, and my Magic Bullet! Seriously, I have WAY TOO MUCH CRAP! hehe
But, honestly, I may be selling the bread maker, one of the dip sized crock pots, and one of the waffle makers in my garage sale next month... trying to decide!
Patti Stanger Dishes on 'Millionaire Matchmaker' Season 4 {AOL TV}
Oct 19th 2010 11:38AM Honestly Gazu, I think what she meant by that is she doesn't want a rich man that expects people to do everything for them. She wants a "financially comfortable" man who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and do the heavy lifting sometimes. The wood chopper reference made me think : If they go on a weekend away in the mountains, she wants a cabin with a fireplace and a man who will go out and cut the wood himself and make the fire, not one who is going to want to stay in a 5 star wilderness resort where they come in and turn the knob on your gas fireplace for you. Does that make a little more sense?
High School Football Player in Wheelchair Scores Touchdown {Fanhouse Backporch}
Oct 12th 2010 2:24PM I actually started crying watching this... So very sweet of them to give this boy a chance he'd never have otherwise. With all the constant talk lately about the bullying culture of today's youth, seeing things like this reminds me that there is still some hope for that generation.
'Toy Story 3' Blasts Past $1 Billion Mark {Moviefone Blog}
Aug 31st 2010 9:28AM Thank you Rick! I find that stuff SO annoying! How much a movie makes means NOTHING as far as how popular it is. And all those movies in 3D that are up there... Um, 3D costs more than regular. Think that may be why those movies show higher $$s????
You are so right... I wish they'd actually give the "this many seats sold" numbers and then we could REALLY compare. Plus, movies cost different amounts in different parts of the country, so it's not like we can see 1.021 billion, divide it by 10 and say "that's how many seats"... I know I've seen a difference of up to 3 dollars in nightly rates depending on the location! Oh, but a thought... Toy Story 3 is a kids' movie, which means a higher likelihood that they will have good matinee numbers... so, if those matinee seats cost less than the evening seats, then maybe they had MORE people than we are assuming b/c they had so many during cheaper time periods.
Just saying... I hate that MONEY is the indicator, and not how many seats have been sold.
