Mar 10th 2011 1:18AM America is becoming over sensitive about stupid things. "Ohh we can't market this to our children, it may make them think that they HAVE to be skinny." "...it may make them think they have to shave.." Well GOD DAMNIT! I see the same damn parents bringing their kids to McDonalds shoving 3 hamburgers, 2 fries, and an "apple juice" down their kids throats thinking they are doing good. Well news flash... maybe we need rolemodels like Tink to bring back a better image of America. Let the young child think they have to maintain a healthy body weight. Let them know they're going to have to shave...or move to France where they will fit in.
Parents have gotten way out of control with the whole "censor the children" crap. I think the overweight/obese parents, or parents with low self esteem target these types of things so their children don't realize how much they've let themselves go. I'm sorry but lately we have been socially excepting obesity and overweight people more than we ever have before...and it shouldn't be. Tink is TINK. She was always a petite, racy little pixie, nothing has changed.
I know this post seems so, child like, or even immature. But I am a mother of 3 children myself ages 7, 5, and 4 and I have recently lost 140lbs. I know how it is...

Dec 10th 2010 9:59PM First I would like to say, accidents DO happen. In crowded places, a child of that age and size can go missing very quickly. Not saying the parents aren't in the wrong in this case, but things like this can happen to even the most vigilant parents!
Notice how you all go off saying these parents are the world's worst parents, how the kid should be taken away from them, but the one posting asking how the child is gets two stars.
No one has ANY clue what taking a child from their parents does to a child. Stupid people call CPS for no reason, they have kids placed in foster care, bounced around from home to home, and all for a misunderstanding?? Yeah let's label these parents as the worst people in the world and take the kid away for no reason... Dumb americans..

Where the heck do you all get off calling people "Stupid" or putting someone down for trying their best? You all want to seem so much bigger and better than someone so fast that you'll throw a person under the bus and put down their profession and the person as a whole.
I'm ashamed of all of you people.
In MY profession I see this all the time.. someone constantly trying to tell me how to do my job.. they think they know better than me. Well next time since you all are medically smarter than the rest of the world, don't call an ambulance! Don't go to the doctors! You're smart enough to treat yourselves!

Nov 24th 2009 2:01PM To everyone who says there are holes in this story are a bunch of idiots. I've been to McDonalds in Brooklyn and the workers are out right rude. This isn't some little happy town McDonalds where you are treated with any curtosey. In fact you are lucky to get the food you ordered! People who don't visit food chains in the 5 boros, or West Nassau county need to shut their mouths. I can COMPLETELY believe this story. Look at the Green Acres Mall Walmart in Valley Stream where people were trampled some to death others injured just to SHOP! People out here are animals!! THANK GOD I am moving out of here this week, I can't take much more of these nut jobs!

She can afford expensive Hollister clothing, nannies, but the state (us tax payers) has to pay to care for her new litter?!
This woman is an absolute LIAR. She was no where NEAR 270lbs!!! (which this article has claimed, she's 125 now and she lost 145.) I am 6 feet tall and with my first kid I went up to 300lbs, and I was FAT!!!! Size 24 pants and all. This story is just as true as the lies she tells her social worker to get the assistance she does!

Oct 28th 2009 8:40AM Kay, that is simply NOT true. I think WIC is a great program and as I said I have a very close friend (actually my parents rasied her) and she works for WIC. I understand the program and I think its absoutely a great thing to have. However, I don't condone people spitting out babies just to rely on WIC or other government assistance. WIC/other assistances are there for people who like you said, lost their job. Its to be USED when needed, not depended on to support your ever growing family. I am a single mother of 3 children, no family helping me, and I managed to do it without assistance. It wasn't easy but I got it done.

Oct 28th 2009 8:09AM Michelle you are an absolute disgrace to our already over populated Earth. You are on your 7th kid and rely on WIC to feed you all? Did you ever hear of birth control? I'm sorry but I am SICK of working my ass off EVERY DAY, I work 80 hours a week to support my 3 children and I have to pay ever growing TAXES to feed your kids. Did you stop to think where the money comes from? It doesn't just appear there, what you are doing is extremely selfish. Then time comes those kids have to go to college, where is THAT money coming from? You definitely couldn't buy them food, so I doubt you saved money for their college. Ohh I guess good ole hard working people will have to pay for that too. Word of advice, adoption, condoms, legs closed. End of story.
