Feb 14th 2011 4:00PM If your a borderline fan who doesnt understand hockey anyway then go ahead and leave; go ahead and watch the nba. Part of the problem is that the league is trying too hard to please those fans. The instigator penalty was put in place to stop "useless" fights. Instead its led to cheap shots going unpunished. And the whole reason why guys like Crosby and Ovechkin go unpunished is because there are fans who dont even like hockey but like these superstars. You suspend them and every game they miss means tv broadcast numbers fall. Stop chasing half hearted fans and alot of these problems go away.

Jan 6th 2011 10:59AM I watched the entire game through the first two periods. I left briefly (honestly about five minutes) early in the third and my jaw literally dropped when I saw the score was 3-2 when I came back. The Canadian team was the most talented team this year and they won all their games by overwhelming the competition. All the teams they faced hit a brick wall against them. The difference with the Russians is that they didnt stay stunned. Intead they challenged the goalie that had only faced about 15 shot per game until that point. Evev after losing their first two game the Russians definitely deserved this win.
