Jan 5th 2011 9:59AM No, you are not dealing with teachers.... you are dealing with administrations whose main concern is to avoid litagation (in this case they should have been more concerned about the family sueing for the rights of their child). I'm sure that the teachers are happy that the child is being helped... must not have been easy to teach a classroom full of children when one seizes 20 times a day.

Sep 19th 2008 7:27PM DO NOT feel pressured to get this vaccine! My former OBGYN tried to get me to agree and I said no because I have been in a monogamous relationship for 5 years..... the way i see it, i either have HPV or don't. She insisted that I should get it still just in case my boyfriend cheated on me! I felt that this was not an appropriate response to an adult who does not want excess chemicals pumped into her body. Needless to say, I have found another OBGYN who, when i mentioned my previous experience, came to the same conclusion that I did... you either have it or you don't.

Now that I have read this article and what others have to say about the vaccine, I am glad I opted to not get it.

Apr 19th 2008 9:44PM I am an elementary school teacher and EVERY day one of my kids ends up getting punched, hit, choked with jump ropes and my students are only 6 years old!

I agree with many of you that there needs to be more supervision on the playground, but this begs the question: Who will pay a decent wage to these people who are hired to watch the students? When a school budget fails, its hard to justify more schoolyard supervision vs. up to date text books and supplies.

Jul 2nd 2007 12:28PM I couldn't agree more. While in school for sociology i learned about this continuum and couldn't believe how much sense it made (and why i hadn't thought of this myself!). Thanks for attempting to educate more people about what I see as the most accurate theory on human sexuality.
