Her hair could be natural jet black and she still looks like she would turn you in to the cops. BOY IS SHE PISSED OFF. Yeah, a little hair color will make her the life of the party.

The recent ad's for Joe's Crab Trap regarding the sexually transmitted disease of the same name is repulsive at best but when used in an eating establishment must be bad for business. Our family will never return to the restaurant.

I find nothing offensive about these ads at all. In fact, the Ladies' Home Journal ads are gorgeous period pieces of art. What I *do* find offensive is the inability of our current society to be able to see or hear something without screaming "offense". Today's advertising, both the overt and the subliminal, is not only gauche and tacky, but seriously damaging to our youngsters' self-esteem to the point that they will starve themselves or engage in other damaging behaviors in order to fit into a category they are being shown and told is "acceptable". Anti-aging, hair care/color, make-up, and feminine hygeine products are ever-increasing, lucrative, and highly competitive industries. What HAS changed is the way in which the very same products shown above are marketed, because instead of women being considered feminine, N.O.W. and other gender-subversive groups have turned our biggest asset as women-- pride in ourselves, our families, our appearance, and, yes, our femininity -- into an offense which shall-not-be-named - or else. What a shame. Perhaps if this column's author, as well as a plethora of other "writers" whose work I have seen in print and on the internet, put as much energy into proper spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills as they do at being offended, there would be less time with which to think about being offended, and more opportunity for productivity sans the sniveling drivel.

Actually this same technique is being applied to men's hair color now. You see a lot of commercials where a man isn't doing well in his job and can't get a girl because he has grey hair, then is suddenly successful and attractive when he dyes it.
