After Wayne Giroux died in June, Spot still seemed to carry the hope that her beloved owner would come back. Every day for the past five months, she's been going to a quiet spot along a country road in Loan Oak, Texas, to wait for him to pick her up.
"I have no doubt that's what she's waiting for," Giroux's son Paul told WFAA-TV in Dallas. "It breaks my heart every time I go over there."
Spot goes to her spot twice a day, looks out and waits. And even though Paul knows his father won't be coming back to meet with Spot, he is amazed by her loyalty and supports what she's doing. "If you can ever find anything that loves you that much, it's the most precious gift in the world," he said.
