It already sucks when you've been dumped. It's worse when your ex changes his relationship status on Facebook.

But the site's latest feature, "Photo Memories," which appears on the top right corner of some Facebook pages, could be unwittingly evil, displaying tagged images of your ex–significant other -- reminding you of happier-gooey times.

Now, however, thanks to disapproval from many users, and the creation of the "I HATE PHOTO MEMORIES" group, Facebook will no longer link you to photos of your ex in an attempt to get you through the "moving on" process.

How does the site know how to post those pics in the first place? According to Mashable, Facebook has developed an algorithm "for figuring out whose updates you're most interested in" -- pretty much whose profile(s) you stalk the most. So you may, in part, have had yourself to blame.

And, while it's nice to know that Facebook is listening to the public's needs, fixing "Photo Memories" won't stop your ex from clogging your newsfeed with new photos of His New Life (or, worse, Flame).

So, it's probably best to just unfriend. Here are three of the most common reasons people do so.
