There's something so romantic about the early fall: sunlight sparkles nostalgically and the sky turns the truest blue. It's like an old movie that ends with a wedding: equal parts cozy/familiar and exhilarating/dreamy.

And so, if you're single - in honor of the wistful sweetness that seems to characterize this time of the year - why not create this old-fashioned, fall-inspired love charm to call an exciting new love interest into your life?

Here's how it works: experiencing the conditions you desire in your life is really all about your thoughts, feelings, and intentions. Creating a charm is a way of choosing and clearly setting your intention and then powerfully impressing this intention upon your consciousness and subconscious mind in a way that can't help but bring about changes in the physical world. It's a fancy form of positive thinking, really.

To create your love charm, begin by assembling these ingredients:
  • 2 cinnamon sticks (from the spice section of the grocery store)
  • A bit of hemp twine
  • A length of burgundy lace
  • A jar with lid or stopper (small-ish but big enough to fit the cinnamon sticks)
  • Organic, raw, or turbinado sugar
Sit comfortably. Take some deep breaths to relax your body and quiet your mind. As much as you can, summon the feelings that will go along with the conditions you desire. Feel your heart swell with romantic bliss. When this feeling is strong, use the hemp twine to tie the cinnamon sticks together in a simple bow. Then, place them in the jar and fill the jar with sugar so that the cinnamon sticks are completely immersed in it. Put the lid on the jar and adorn the jar with the lace by tying it attractively around the top. Hold the jar in both hands and visualize/imagine/feel that you are in the midst of a scintillating new romance. Place the jar on your nightstand or next to your bed, and each time you notice it, joyfully anticipate the outcome you desire, knowing that it will appear at the perfect time and in the perfect way.
