We knew there was something missing from our Pop Tarts -- mayo! Now that the fellows over at Slate have pointed this out to us, it seems so obvious. Hindsight is 20/20!
In honor of the new Pop Tart World Pop Tart store (aka a reason to go to Times Square), Dan and Mark took to their Gastro Lab to come up with solutions to one of life's most pressing problems: how to incorporate even more Pop Tarts into our diet. Of all their efforts, one stuck out most to us: using Pop Tarts as a substitute for bread. Of course! It's like a breakfasty Double Down.
Utilizing two Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts and holding the mayo, they created the sandwich that will define an entire generation: the Pop Tart BLT. Gentlemen, we salute you. And make video of your brilliance available after the jump. Bon appetit!
