After a rough breakup, sometimes the easiest -- and healthiest -- way to get over an ex is eliminating him from your life. i voted that deleting from facebook is just immature, like really? you have to cut off ALL ties? i think its quite immature
i just went through a break up and seeing as im pro stay friends i stupidly put up with his train of blocking and unblocking then defriending and then a friend request the next day!
it was VERY immature, if you MUST delete me then do so and be done with it!

It's not immature to defriend an ex. Sometimes when a relationship ends, there's no friendship left to salvage. It may be best to simply cut ties & go your separate ways.

I've defriended exes on Facebook and other social networking sites because I just don't want to see who they're dating or flirting with, what they're doing, or being reminded of what I either miss about them or what annoyed me about them. I do much better out of sight out of mind for the most part, at least with the exes I'm on bad terms with. Am I still curious? Of course, but it's easier to be curious than try to forget details you'd really rather not know.
