Two things you should know about LARPers: 1) They're hilarious, and 2) sometimes they don't like having their picture taken because the film might reveal their "true" form -- that of a 21-foot-long dragon. So don't just come to their meet-ups and start snapping away, would-be photographers!

An Australian woman learned the second lesson the hard way when she showed up at a Red Raven Medieval Reenactment club gathering and started taking pictures for her website. Senior club member Mihiteruaerewa Rangiataawa, 50, felt it was her obligation to put a stop to it since the woman was not the club's official photographer, and decided to remedy the situation by punching the lady in the face and ripping clumps of her hair out, possibly in an attempt to release the demons from the photographer's skull.

Police showed up and arrested Rangiataawa, who was fined about $180 by a judge to cover police costs. She has attended anger-management courses, the role-play portion of which she probably particularly enjoyed.
