Diets, bikinis and #9toFine be damned, we're never giving up one of our favorite things in the world: macaroni and cheese. Our friends at Medical Insurance have provided us with this infographical look at America's favorite comfort food, because regardless of whether it comes from the Big Blue Box or your mama's homemade recipe -- topped with breadcrumbs, of course -- or even in pizza-bread-bowl form, this dish really warms our soul. And coats it with a delicious, creamy layer of cheese.Click the image for a larger version

The 'nutrition information' section is pretty confusing. How do all those various figures all equal out to 1.5 boxes of kraft mac and cheese? What does the 1c thing mean? And the "best brands of mac and cheese" section.... Kraft? Velveeta? Chef Boyardee? That stuff hardly sounds like it's top tier. Did they mean "best selling brands"? Because that I could believe. Overall It's definitely not the worst infographic I've seen, but some parts could definitely use clearing up.

I'm pretty sure the 1 1/2 boxes of Kraft mac and cheese is equivalent to the 1 c (1 cup--that's usually the abbreviation for cup when you're following recipes) serving of the Macaroni Grill Double mac n' cheese, which has the blue ribbon on it, probably because it's the unhealthiest/has the most calories. Also it says "best boxed brands," not "best brands," and if one is going by what Americans think is the best mac n' cheese, comfort-food wise, that doesn't seem unrealistic to me. Americans are most familiar with those brands.
