Ahhh, white. It epitomizes summer, has been seen all over the runways and always looks great with a tan. A few summers ago I wore white every day for three weeks straight. I was going for a month but never made it due to a massive rainstorm that started moments before I left the house for a huge business meeting. But those three weeks were some of the sexiest of my life.
Little white tees with cut off jean shorts; simple, breezy dresses and giant platforms; white denim and a tank -- I'm having inappropriate work daydreams already. If your closet doesn't consist of at least two staple white items, take your lunch money directly to a store today. The remainder of your summer is sure to be better if you do.
Silence & Noise Printed Chiffon Button-Down Blouse, $58Sheer without being tacky. That's a major feat. Find yourself a super beautiful tank or, if you're daring enough, nude lace bra to wear under it. Doing it solo won't bring you very nice stares from the crowds.
ASOS Tailored Cowl Back Shirt Dress, $67.38The fabulous thing about a shirt dress is they give this instant hotness which seems totally unintentional because the style is totally unassuming. This particular one happens to be the hottest shirt dress ever made and easy to wear into winter with tights, boots and a jacket.
Topshop Leather Pouch Cross Body Bag, $60The idea of no longer carrying a hand held bag weighing over a thousand pounds sounds so appealing to me right now. It's been way too many years without a cross body bag being trend on, which makes this bag and any others in this style, beyond necessary.
Echo Braided Floppy Hat, $38Whether alone you're hanging out reading in your backyard or vacationing with the hottest man alive on some gorgeous island, this hat will add serious chicness to your day. The floppy brim not only keeps the sun off your face but it also gives you an unexpected flirtatiousness.
Gucci Aviator Gold/White Sunglasses, $275I have been kneeling at my bedside for two weeks now, praying to the Gods of Gucci to bring these bad boys to my life. The photo doesn't do them justice. They. Are. Breathtaking. I put them on my face and felt like a sex kitten sitting on a yacht in the middle of the Mediterranean. Which is major, considering I was actually in a mall.
Express Zelda Jean Legging, $59.90Express has an unusually incredible fit in pants, especially these jeans. They are low on your hips but not too low on your bum, long and lean across your legs but without being too long that they're dragging on the ground. Buy them now, wear them nonstop every summer until they shred.
Arden B. Mesh Stripe Back Bandage Dress, $49If you are a woman, you should buy this dress. Set all your fears aside, close your eyes and imagine yourself looking your hottest. Now, go, buy it. I know it seems risky, especially if you think you need to lose a few pounds, but instead of making yourself nuts over a few pounds, put this thing on and let the dress take over any insecurity you feel. Men will be drooling over you. Women will be wishing they were you.
Shu Uemura Gem Glam Pressed Eye Shadow, $20Phenomenal makeup artist Willow Mayor used this color on a recent shoot we did together. She explained that "by adding white to the inside of your eyes it can make them look brighter. Then by putting it under your brow it can give the illusion of an instant lift." Who wouldn't want that?
Urban Outfitters Build Your Own Republic Bike, $250-$450Urbanoutfitters.com has teamed up with Republic Bikes so you can customize your ride. There are two frame options, and hundreds of colors and components to play with. If you aren't already obsessed with saving time, money and the environment by biking instead of driving, I have a feeling hopping on this beautiful 2-wheeler will do the trick.
LNA Cropped Back Tail Tank, $43If you need a tank to wear day and night, weekdays and weekends, this is the one for you. It's super comfortable and easy to use for layering. Love it worn with black skinny ankle length pants and simple black sandals. A perfect look to take you from work to happy hour. And wherever that may bring you...
Calvin Klein Underwear, $12If Eva Mendes didn't sway you into purchasing some major loot from Calvin Klein, I most likely won't be able to either. Did you see her in those ads? Ahhh, speechless. Beyond hot. And you will be too in these seamless hipsters. Oh and they are unbelievably comfortable. Can you beat that?
Vanessa Bruno Draped Jersey Dress, $97.50A great piece to wear with a longer blazer to work but equally good with gold sandals over your bikini for the beach. This is what summer is all about: pretty, sexy, easiness.
J.Crew Solid Convertible Glamour Swim Top, $9.99 to $34.99It's called the glamour top for a reason. Doesn't it feel so old Hollywood? Like you'd be hanging out with Sinatra singing and drinking something powerful on the rocks. The best part is it comes in sizes ranging from an A-cup to a D-cup.
Bensimon Hi-Top Sneakers, $85If you start wearing these uber-white sneakers now, they'll be in perfectly worn out condition for fall. If you're unsure how to style them into your wardrobe just look at any current Parisian street style photos and you'll have a million different ideas. These kicks are literally all over the city.
