The world is already overpopulated enough, people should stop being selfish and think about the impact their actions are having on society, the belief that it is not truly your child if you did not "pop it out yourself" or "it ain't from my sperm, so it ain't mine" is archaic, instead of wasting almost 10 grand to select a sex, or get invitro you could god forbid ADOPT, (if you had any commen sense you would)

In a world where we're denying two adults perfectly capable of making their own decisions to marry, simply because they are both the same sex, we are encouraging people to unnaturally choose the sex of their children. Our priorities and morals are certainly backwards in this world, ESPECIALLY in a time when overpopulation is a problem.

I need to finish reading all the comments.
To the people who think insemination is wrong and "against God" -- okay, so what does God think about all the women out there spreading their legs and having endless premartial sex? Some people don't want to have sex, but still want a baby. A tiny minority, I know, but I think God would traditionally have less of a problem with that. It's still "His choice" whether the woman becomes 'with child' or not. It doesn't work every time!
To the people who think we should all adopt whatever we want: DNA has been found to matter! You used to get the children of all the unwed mothers who came from largely fairly good homes, and were intelligent and creative. Now, quite a lot of the children up for adoption have at least one parent with a drug addiction! Who knows what they were doing while they were pregnant. Eat healthy? Do they have money for healthy food AND drugs?
To the people who think choosing the gender of your child is wrong... I can see where this would be abused in a male-oriented culture. I remember hearing some years back of the incredible shortage of girls due to China's one-child policy. Frankly, I think it's important to breed girls: In American society, women still have the greatest right and the greatest pull with their children. If you want your family and cultural values to be passed on to the next generation, you should bet on a female. Women are also hardier in health. They handle illness better. There's some theory that they handle pain better. I have nothing against boys. I would love to have a little boy... after I've had a girl or two and know that my genetic line is secure.

listen no one i dont care who u r can ever do that it not fair let the gender of the kid be gods choice..if u dont love ur kid just cuz of what gender it is then dont become parnets what the fuck seriously or like metitond in another comment ADOPT i dont care what the fuck ur reason is ADOPT!!!!!!!!!!! cuz there r kids out there with no parnets of both sexes...so u want to choose do it that way not choose the gender when ur pregnant wtf...i will never in a million yrs do that and i kno for a fact that all my friends and family and friends of my family and their friends will NEVER EVERdo that cuz we arent asswholes we love our kids for who they r and we r not picky about gender...anyone that does that should think of how they would feel if they found out their parnets chose their gender it outrageous

If you think about it...This may actually help the over populated world. Instead of trying several times, you get exactly what you want the first time. (ie having four daughters, trying to get one son)...
It may be unnatural, but so is everyone using fertility drugs, etc...
I think all life is a beautiful and joyous thing, "designer" or not!!!!

This is so incredibly crazy that I can't even say how it makes me feel. People are ridiculous! This consumerism behaviour is gross. We are talking about human beings and people are objectifying babies. Having a child is not choosing a car color or a dress at a store. These people shouldn't even be allowed to have pets! They really need to work on themselves first. Disgusting!

They say that OVER 75% OF PARENTS THAT USE GENDER SELECTION DO SO TO MAKE A BABY GIRL! I found that shocking. It seems that a lot of parents are realizing that little boys tend to be more aggressive and difficult than little girls. They are also more dependent on mommy and daddy and need things done for them. Even some dads-to-be are wanting girls over boys.

I don't get why everyone is freaking out. Yes, it's unnatural. So is silicone and McDonalds. It's their choice, it harms next to no one, if it makes them happy so be it. They're not creating a new race, just deciding if they want a boy or girl.

I'm not freaking about it. I knew it was just a matter of time BUT everyone go look up some Korean history. "it harms next to no one" is false because it will harm the children in the future when the male-to-female ratio gets messed up like in places in Asian countries.
