My friends like to call it "the 28-year-old rule": As in, once you hit 30, you shouldn't expect more than fun, games and hard-to-hide hickeys from any guy younger than 29. Now a new poll says even 31-year-old Ashton Kutcher is too wet behind the ears.
According to a new poll by British dating site, matchaffinity.com, 70 percent of women over 35 say they wouldn't date a man younger than 32.
We agree -- to a point. But first, we think, you have to define "date." If it's a sleepover we're talking about, we don't much care if he just blew out all 18 candles. But if you're getting ready to put a ring on it, it's best if the guy you're eyeing didn't graduate with Demi Lovato.
Sorry, Madonna, and all you Hollywood producers who are convinced that "Cougartown" is the next "Friends."

I'm 42- my husband was 7 years younger than I . I am always hit on by younger men, my son's friends think i am a MILF- lol. but i wouldn't go lower than 32 and he'd have to be darn hot ,stable, smart and mature - otherwise 34 is more comfortable as my limit of how young is okay with me. but then again, I'd date a 46 year old and that's about as High as i'd go but still hot, stable, smart and not so mature for the older guy - too serious is no fun at all-

Why are you people bashing Ashton and Demi? Their marriage obviously works. Does yours? Whatever the reason they are together, I'll tell you it certainly isn't one of convenience. Look at their body language, it tells you that they are devoted and most definitely in love. Maybe you wished your marriage was as solid and you were as happy as they are. STOP the jealousy! Ashton and Demi, I admire and applaud you.

You go cowgirl. I am with you. I am in your age bracket, and I cannot stand old, stuffy, boring men. My guy is 10 years younger than I, and I sometimes get bored with him. I work out for 3 hours almost every day. I am fashionable, eat well, and keep up with the times. To me Demi and Ashton make a perfect couple. What's age got to do with it? They seemingly love and enjoy one another. A guy that makes you laugh is too precious to pass up. Yes, he seems silly to us that do not know him personally, but who knows what he is like behind closed doors. Certainly, not us!!!

Please, it is very undignified for a man your age to be using the phrase "porking". I know you must be uber smart as you have figured out that it is indeed "the humanity between lovers". that's makes a relationship. Try something a little more age appropriate like "screwing". HaHa. Maybe you and French Woman outta hook up that is of course her mouth ins not lethal-not all older broads have big mouths though a lot do I must admit-we learn to not be silent which is the equivalent of pregnant and barefoot. But, a wise woman knows when to shut it. And BTW Mark, if they ever do a remake of "All in the Family" you have my vote (yes I vote dumkowski) for the role of Archie.

besides her killer body,and face, SHE`S got the sexiest voice EVER!
And I`m not gay either...But, she`s GOT magnitizem, where ever it comes out of her, over the years.., it just elates.. I`m wishing I had just been born with 1/2 that voice, of hers.
They look soo happy together. And , she` was # 3 on the hottest of hotties out of 50 celebs . Pam A. #2, and Mark Wal., #1.
Demi should have won, Alicia Silver., should have been #2, then Pam, then Mark, as far as being hot.

I like him. I'd date him. I'd take him to an amusement park. I think he's a cute kid, and I don't care if YOU think he can't act, he does have potential. But, believe me, he's pulling in a buck or two from his commercial residuals. His time is coming. Late bloomer. Move over Demi...There's a new cougar in town! I am 48.
Since my divorce 2 years ago, I have suddenly become "hot" to younger men. I have been seeing a 29 year old since February. But I have also dated a 44 year old, a 46 year old, and it looks like the 36 year old I've been dating for a month has actual long term potential.
The 29 year old is basically a friend with benefits, but he's awesome and thinks the same thing about me. Another 29 year old I went out with twice was much less mature and we didn't hit it off at all. A 33 year old was basically a big kid. A 26 year old friend who is married is an old, wise soul and much more mature than I'll ever be.
The lowest I've gone is 23, and it was too low. He's beautiful, but he's very much a kid.
I should point out that almost all the guys I've dated are military, and most have been in combat; that experience seems to make them more mature than civilians the same age. They have also all been very respectful and polite and well groomed and know how to iron their own clothes.

here i am feeling all irrelevant in my *coughmidfiftiescough* and your range of comments is just cracking me up. i plan to live double as long as i've been here, and you have helped me both to laugh at look forward to those coming decades.
as to ages i'd date, i would feel weird dating someone my kids' ages *or* my parents' ages. generally, i date within 10 yrs younger to 5 yrs older. not as a rule, just how it works out. i have turned down many, many offers from men ranging from 18 through mid-thirties. i don't think it's any of my business what age range other people choose to date, to be frank (within the law).
but right now i'm not dating because i'm tired of the kind of people i've been picking. i really am enjoying my life as-is and would only date somebody at this point whom i found fun, interesting, intellectually stimulating, responsible and a non-substance-abuser.
notice how there isn't any age range or height range or hair color in that description? i guess it's because by the time you get old enough to be a cougar (your word, not mine), you learn what's important and what isn't.

Why does everyone assume that hollywood people are the first to date this way? Or that it's a hollywood trend?
M\I just turned 37 & my husband is 28, there is a huge age difference in numbers, but out of all the men I've dated my age or older, he knows how to treat me & take care of me. He's a hard worker, knows how to make me laugh & is very mature. Funny enough, when we met (5 years ago), I refused to date him at all, finally agreeing to go on 1 date with him after 3 months of being asked & now it was the best decision I ever made.
