What do Marisa Miller, Kate Hudson and Eve all have in common? According to a new survey reported in the Telegraph, they've all reached their prime. They've hit the big 3-1, the magic number when women are deemed to be at their most attractive.The survey was carried out for TV shopping channel QVC and polled over 2,000 men and women, 70 percent of whom cited confidence as the main factor in contributing to a woman's attractiveness. (67 percent felt good looks mattered most, while 47 percent equated stylishness with beauty.) The survey noted that the average 31-year-old still has youthful beauty as well as confidence and a better sense of style than her teenage and 20-something counterparts.
Well, at least now, instead of lamenting the loss of our 18-year-old bodies and our 22-year-old skin, we only need to feel depressed about how much worse our hangovers have gotten.

You must be over the age of 31. I thought 31 was good, and surprised that it was not closer to 21. Your post just sounds bitter. The article referenced attitude as a major component of beauty. You should read that part again!

I see AOL has missed a few rotton apples that write in here. Taking the time to carefully read the topic being discussed, stopping to engage your brain, and THEN making an informativive and concise blog apparently escapes your ability. Using decent language and not offending others should also apply here, but having said all that, here is your problem: The article didn't pinpoint 31 as the one true age for ideal beauty, what it DID say was of all beautiful women of ANY age, that seemed the median considering all factors! Why couldn't you understand that?

I have no problem whatsoever ... believing women can be and are beautiful at age 31... ( i mean gong li imho is one of the most beautiful females i have seen on this planet and shes 45 now? and im juding her current looks as well ) ....
But its silly to come up with one numerical age and say " well folks this is when you are at your prime "
Everyone ages differently, everyone comes into their style at different ages .. and for many people especially men, their bodies are still growing at age 31 .. men's bone structure still thickens and broadens even at 31 ..
one woman may come into her prime at 25 another at 35 ... people all grow untill different ages .. then age at different intervals .. and their minds are in different places at different stages in their lives, effecting their confidence, style and "aura"
How on earth would a poll like this be conducted anyway? unless they are able to show computer models of a thousand or so individuals and show them from age 18 to age 50 .. and then have 2000 men sit down and actually look at each model .. which i doubt they did
there are many women who will be chosen as looking more beautiful at ANY age when compared to other females
IMHO this poll sounds so ridiculous to me haha its not worth even considering seriously

I think each women has a different time clock.
Some look their best at 16.
Others don`t look their best till 30.
I`ve even seen some that hit their peak at 40.
So it just depends on the women

This could be true. I had a lot more men after me at 31 than in my early 20s. I don't know about my appeal to men now since I'm married. At least my husband thinks that I look good.

I have seen some 31 year old look fat and ugly while a 40 year old is beautiful and thin. So it's all very individual. These stupid studies and their stupid statistics don't have a right to say when a woman is beautiful and when their not . HECK I have seen some fat, slob of a 25 year old that is not as pretty as a 50 year old. It all depends.

I look at photos of myself at 31 and I look like crap. I'm beautiful now at 52 and blessed to still have held on to my youthful looks and I still rock a bikini. No wrinkles either. Probably because I'm a woman of color.

I agree! What crap! Are women fruits waiting to ripen. If you fail to "pick" her at the age of 31 will they rot on the vine? I'm a 54yo male and frankly speaking, if a women feels good about herself at any age, she's attractive. Confidence is sexy.
