Pop singer Charice Pempengo is the most recent young celebrity get some work done. The 18-year-old up-and-coming pop star had undergone a "30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox" to slim down her naturally round face last week. According to Popeater, Charice went through the procedure in order to prepare for her upcoming role on "Glee."
While, yes, celebrities are expected to look their best, it seems to us that more young starlets than ever are going under the knife. After the jump, a list of A-listers who've "had work done" while still baby-faced, some before they were even old enough to drink.
Check this list, then tell us, should plastic surgery for the underage be outlawed, or would that just create (shudder) a black market for boob jobs?
LiLo's little sister, Ali Lohan, has also been rumored to have plumped up her kisser with a lip enhancement, and she's only sweet 16.
Hilary Duff capped her teeth with veneers when she was 18.
Both "High School Musical" alum Ashley Tisdale and singer/actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz had nose jobs at 22.
In 2006, Jessica Simpson, who was 25 at the time, admitted to getting Restalyne for fuller lips, but she reportedly "regrets" the injections.
In the mid-2000s, actress and resident party girl Tara Reid was the poster child for plastic surgery gone bad. A boob job and liposuction left her with scars and a disfigured body at 29.
Now Heidi Montag trumps Reid as the plastic surgery queen. With 10 different cosmetic procedures done (and perhaps a few more in the future), this "Hills" starlet has transformed from natural beach body to a real-life Barbie. Starting when she was 21, Montag has gotten everything from fat injections in her cheeks to neck lipo. (What?!)They're still young -- though they don't seem to realize it -- but do you think these stars have already gone too far with "improving" their looks?

Let's all get off our 'moral high horse' for a minute and realize that botox is commonplace in Hollywood, and a fast-growing trend among American teens. And secondly, 'Glee' is a cool show and all, but let's not naively put it up as a beacon of righteousness. Beyond the modus operandi of the age-old "underdog" story, it's really the same 'Hollywood' formula -- TOKEN characters surrounded by 'eye candy' and a good dose of sex. Right. I said it. Glee is Ugly Betty 2.0, where all the characters are fairly good-looking, and Betty is the show's sympathetic backdrop. And beyond the "feel-good" story, let's make this clear: It's all business. FOX and Warner Bros. (Charice's recording company) are affiliates. In addition, the agency that works with Glee guest, Josh Grobin, also works with Charice. Furthermore, Charice is an emerging artist with a global audience. At the end of the day, this is a business transaction, and less to do with moral pretenses.
Like I said before, THE ROAD TO HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS. Charice, though young, impressionable and naive, was merely another victim of of the vulture culture that preys on fame and attention. It's media sensationalism at work, for better or for worse. People will talk and throw their opinions for a few days and 'experts' and 'expert-wannabees' will weigh-in with the PROS and CONS before the whole issue runs out of steam. Once the smoke clears, it will be lamented as a silly issue by the 'regurgitating herd'.

let me see...
does a high tech facial (Thermage) and Botox injection to relax her tight jaw muscles to alleviate discomfort ( a freebie, courtesy of the doctor herself) considered 'under- the- knife' plastic surgery nowadays?
I guess I've had 'plastic surgery' myself when my dentist gave me a Botox shot for my TMJ problem. I feel like a Hollywood celebrity now! woohoo!

Sorry to disagree, some actresses even with cosmetic surgery still look like plain old sh!t. I have no idea wth Heidi was thinking, she looked sooo much better without all the stuff she did to her face, i think cosmetic surgery should be an option only when youve been cursed with a hideous nose or non existant lips. Other than that, beauty is only in the eye of the beholder and that is the only truth. Also streetcred, i disagree, glee has almost NO attractive looking people on the show which is why its even considered an "underdog" show. If i were that girl charice i'd demand a refund because according to what the article says she did, the results are still the same, i see no difference really. And again i repeat, beauty does NOT guarantee fame.
