Regardless of why we care, a new study has popped up with more fuel for our obsession, suggesting that men think yogurt is for teh gheys and that eating a "luscious, natural salad" might make them girlie. Instead, men prefer foods associated with "manly" terms like "hearty," "western" and "gravy." But only if you give them time to think about it.

If you make them thinkfast, researchers at Northwestern found, there's no difference in men's and women's dietary preferences, which means that societal influences likely hold sway over men's taste buds. What this means for the fate of manly cupcakes remains to be seen.
