I believe celebrities make appearances in our dreams in order to reveal hidden resources that may be essential to assist us in our current real-life drama. Think of your dream celeb as offering you a backstage pass to develop your own unique star quality so that you, too, may step more confidently into the spotlight of your life.

Consider that every character in your nighttime dream theater represents an aspect of yourself, whether or not they are famous, infamous, someone you despise or admire. Celebrities are emblems that represent a larger-than-life quality, image or activity for which they are well known.

When you dream of a celebrity consider that you may be connecting to them on a "soul-ular" level. The first question to ask yourself when you dream about a movie star, famous musician, politician, or pop icon, is what special quality do they represent to you?

Second, what is the aspect of this star that you personally relate to? This dream may be revealing an aspect of yourself to face and embrace. Or your dream might be revealing a behavior, like excess baggage, that you'd be better off releasing or transforming.

The third question is what activity are they engaged in? For example, are you dancing with Clint Eastwood? Is Sarah Jessica Parker strolling with you down the aisle on your wedding day? Is Oprah buying you a new outfit? The activity may reveal the dynamic way in which your dream celeb might be acting out (symbolically) in your waking life.

The fourth question is what is the feeling tone of the dream? Did you feel diminished when Donald Trump fired you? Did you feel ecstatic when Leonardo DiCaprio rescued you from a towering inferno?

The following is a partial list of celebrities and the archetype they generally symbolize. However, these dreamy celebs might mean something very personal or unique to you. If the celebrity of your dream does not appear in this list, consider the quality they epitomize to you and allow it to be a springboard to help you decode your dream.

Beyoncé
Delicious Diva: Your inner sexpot is being revealed. The message of this dream may be to love your curves and express your inner chanteuse without shame.

Kristen Stewart
The Quiet One: Maybe you are like Bella Swan -- hot, but think you're not. You might not feel so moody when you consider that yours might be the sweetest, most irresistible blood (creative juice) in town.

Robert Pattison
Vampire With a Heart of Gold: This dream may be revealing a neediness to feed on the praise/attention of others. Or perhaps you've resurrected your belief that romance and chivalry aren't dead. Maybe this dream is telling you to be cautious about letting your heart be devoured by what appears to be an ideal man.
Barack Obama
Authority / Leadership / Father Figure: Depending on your politics, Obama could represent either hope for the future or the opposite thereof. Besides wanting to win friends and influence people, you may be grappling with your personal responsibility in being able to affect change in your world.
Anna Paquin
The Girl Next Door: This dream might be telling you to develop your childlike innocence and hidden depth to get what you want in life and, while you're at it, become a force to be reckoned with.
Tiger Woods
Fallen Hero: You may be dealing with issues of infidelity and betrayal, thinking the grass might be greener on someone else's golf course. Perhaps it is time to channel your mojo toward integrating your shadow tendencies with your virtuous public persona.
Simon Cowell
Inner Critic: No one is harder on you than you. Perhaps you are scrutinizing your talents to the point where you are giving yourself stage fright. Alternatively, your dream may be assisting you in getting a reality check about where your talents actually lie (and where they don't).
Rihanna
The Comeback-er: This dream might be telling you that you have been addicted to love and have maybe been hurt in the past ... but all of that is behind you now. It's time to come out from under that umbrella (ella, ella) and choose your next romantic partner from a place of higher self-regard.
