Here's one couple that will have an easier time growing old together -- they've already seen one another in diapers. Amy Singley and Steven Smith of Fountain Hill, Penn., plan to marry on June 12, 24 years after their mothers shared a room in the maternity ward where they gave birth on the very same day.
The very premature matchmaking was set in motion when Amy and Steven's mothers became friends. After their arrivals, the two families stayed in contact through their church, and when the two were sophomores in high school, Steven asked Amy out for a date. She said yes, and says now that she knew after their second date that Steven was the guy she wanted to spend her life with.
This might mark the one time the judgment of a 15-year-old girl was actually spot on! Congrats, Amy and Steven. This sounds like the beginning of a beautiful

Actually it IS newsworthy. The rest of us thought enough of it to read it and be happy for them. While your message about what it takes to make a good marriage is on target, your mean comment is not. My husband and I met and fell in love when I was 15 and he 16. I knew BEFORE any dates he was the one for me. Lots of obstacles were in our way, but eventually we overcame them. Anyone who hears our whole story definitely thinks it newsworthy too, so I'm not sure what your problem is. Perhaps you just can't get enough of the bad news that permeates the papers, radio, tv, blogs. Fear not, there is plenty more where those came from.

I met my husband when I was 13 and he was 26 and engaged to another woman.
I started dating him at 18 and married him at 19.
That was almost 28 years ago.
I knew at 13 years old I wanted to marry him,
We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
True Love is True Love no matter how old you are.

And who says that Internet dating sites are the only places to meet your future spouse? What a cool story!

Very cute! However, I have the better film idea.....one of my ex's was the bartender at my wedding, and when I gave birth to my first child, my hospital roommate was the wife of a different ex!!!

Happy Birthday and best wishes to you both. I think your choice of wedding days is perfect. It is my 57th birthday. I was married for 34 years to my best friend. I wish for you the same and more.

Both my patents were born on Sept 16 1962 in the same hospital. Their mothers had no relation and they met when they were 14 and have shared their lives together since. They were also next to each other in the birth announcements for common last names. No lie.
