How soon do you start sharing secrets?Unless you happen to be Usher, it seems that most people make their confessions on the third date. (Nothing ruins your chance for Third Date Sex like accidentally blurting out that you maliciously drowned your childhood pet.)

According to relationship expert Diane Kirshner, it's because on the third date things are starting to get serious, and disclosing information, especially personal info, is a great way to connect. But she also thinks date trois is too soon to air dirty laundry like felony convictions, infertility, terminal illnesses, cult membership or the fact that you once wrote "Charmed" fan fiction.

With the exception of disclosing communicable diseases, Kirshner thinks it's best to wait until things are "exclusive and serious." Hey, um ... we think this is sort of nuts! Do you? When should you tell somebody your Dark Secret? (Daily Beast)
